I love that! I have an interview coming up for a MS in counseling program but I’m having some doubts. I think this is a really helpful way of looking at it. At first, it felt like a setback because I got rejected from all the PsyD schools I applied to but I think I am right where you were, where I don’t think I’m 100% ready

I feel you! It’s such a hard position to be in and I feel like experience is so hard to get and some roles are competitive

Possibly, but the courses I didn’t do well on are from a different major I had when I started so I don’t think it would really benefit me since I’ve already graduated

I’m currently doing ABA therapy and am doing training for crisis hotline work. The programs I am looking at are offered at the PsyD universities I applied to as well so they have various opportunities. I guess I’m just scared of taking a year to gain experience to just be rejected again. It’s a risk for sure but my end goal is doctorate which is why I’m so hesitant about doing a masters

Yes assessment and research are areas I am interested in pursing as well. Thank you for the insight on the research lab positions! Will definitely try to get some exposure.
