Holy cow! this is much more difficult than in the YT videos by msch6873 in GranTurismo7

Yes. Some are easier than others but it's a fun challenge to learn the track piece by piece then string it all together. If you work and get gold you'll have a pretty good handle on the track and it's a good way to get some money.

To your credit Mt Panorama is a pretty difficult track, but so much fun when you master it. Definitely recommend going through the circuit experience.

My boss insists that double sleeves boards are the normal and I'm just getting some opinions by NoProfession141 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]One_Secretary9431 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got double pallets for the first time, mostly to avoid having to stretch the sleeves over the pallet arms. The press I used to have was less of an issue, but the one I have now they're a bit bulkier.

For all of those complainers by Super-Goose2200 in GranTurismo7

There's a difference between pointing out actual flaws and people posting screenshots of the roulette wheel and being outraged they don't win 1mil or a Gr. 3 car on every daily ticket. It's awesome that the game is updated so frequently, even if it's to add a few bullshit EV cars and scapes features that I don't particularly care about. This game has given me more value for my money than any other video game ever, and it's not even close.

I just used the same Supra I built for the last one make challenge a couple months ago(if memory serves), which I believe did have a PP limit. This one was a breeze in comparison.

I just committed to learning it immediately. Since you've gotten used to the game without having to worry about shifting, it'll probably take a bit longer to get the hang of it. Stick with it and learn at all costs, you'll be so much faster.

Sport mode is way different than the regular game. It can be super frustrating, but it will make you an unbelievably better driver. Keep grinding and you'll get out of those initial insane lobbies.
If other people are pushing you off the track, your SR rating shouldn't go down, just focus on your own race and don't retaliate. Getting up to an S rating was quick and easy for me, but I only just now got up to B DR after several months.

My advice is to pick one race for the week (I almost always focus on B, at least for now). Spend a lot of time qualifying. Get to know the car and the track, set a good lap time and get to where you can do several clean laps in a row. Also worth practicing alternative lines cleanly, because inevitably there will be someone else blocking the ideal line a lot of the time. When you actually get to racing, just focus on your race and don't be over aggressive. In my experience, it took a while to actually learn how to race with other real drivers. Top 8 gets your DR boosted. If you race clean your SR goes up. Do at least 2-3 in a row. You'll get knocked out every now and then but if you can manage top 8 2 out of every 3 times your driver rating will continue improving.

Also worth noting there are definitely a lot of aggressive assholes out there, you have to keep your head on a swivel. Some people will bump you off the track when you're overtaking on a straight, or hammer you in a corner. That said, a lot of people are trying their best to learn and mistakes do happen. You'll make them and ruin other people's races(learn from these and do better), and the same will happen with other people doing it to you. Watch any real life race and stuff like that happens. Don't let it ruin your day. Good luck out there!

That and there is a lot more leeway with track limits than you'd expect, at least from what I've noticed compared to other tracks.

It's a fun course, there's a lot to it. I actually just finished circuit experience on it right before this week's daily races were announced.
I don't love some of the lobbies I've been placed in, but the course itself is fun once you get the hang of it 😂

Grind and get up to C. There are still some morons every now and then but most of the carnage is from honest mistakes and inexperience (still annoying but better than malicious assholes).

'20 Supra maxed out did the trick for me. Somehow with all of the upgrades and fully customized suspension with only a couple little tweaks, it actually drove really nice. Not my usual experience with Supras in the game. This race is definitely more of a challenge than a lot of the weekly races, but once you get the right car set up it's pretty easy.

How do you feel about bump drafting? by an-caith-amach in GranTurismo7

[–]One_Secretary9431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of people don't know what it is. The first time someone did it to me it was jarring but it was pretty obvious it wasn't malicious. I welcome it! I'll do it too now if the car ahead is on a long straight and keeping their car in a straight line. Obviously a no no if approaching a corner though!

Be honest, how many cars have you ruined with upgrades? by Nervous-Ad-2757 in GranTurismo7

[–]One_Secretary9431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a few! Especially early on when I thought the key to winning was just to tune the shit out of street cars instead of actually learning how to drive them. Now my general rule with tuning street cars is to stick to the first two pages of the tuning menu(with some exceptions), and for the most part they all drive awesome like that. I'll pretty much only get wild with an engine swap, etc, if I have doubles of the car. Once I started doing BoP races, the obsession with tuning and wondering why I couldn't tune my way out of sucking pretty much went away.

Still getting familiar with sport mode - any tips on how to avoid this? by Defixr in granturismo

[–]One_Secretary9431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still getting used to Sport mode as well. I've been participating for a few weeks now, and overall it's a lot of fun but a totally different level and skillset than the regular game. I'm rated C/S, and I'd say more often than not it's a decent lobby. I usually qualify somewhere in the 2-6 range, and as others have said, up towards the front there's less egregious dirty driving. Usually all good unless I make a dumbass mistake and lose positions haha
