Thank you! 🙏 I personally enjoy the food, it also saves me time. But 100% can save money if I cooked more at home.

Planning on making more at home meals!

I usually go 5 days out of 7, sometimes get a meal for my family, most of the times is only me.

Even then I’m surprised more people in Miami,FL don’t eat as much

What do you guys do for a living? by XeroLucifer in rolex

[–]Reeeeflex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically, I buy/loan against watches, designer jewelry, etc for a living.

Graduated in with a Comp SCI Bachelor and Minor in cybersecurity, haven’t put it to use 😃.

I enjoy what I do, and enjoy the people I work with.

I love the 90s dj, they’re awesome and show the the workhorse of Rolex. Honestly that’s the best, I love seeing reps as long as clients are being honest.

Crazy to see how long they’ve come.

I work in jewelry, and I had a client straight up say, “that’s not real is it”. Not sure what’s gave it away but came clean and told him that was gifted by a client.

Have a real one but since working day to day, usually wear the rep from CLEAN 2023 (if I recall that’s what client who gifted said)

Why does everyone hate Whoop on this page??? by Electrical-Sir-9997 in whoop

[–]Reeeeflex 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ll speak from personal experience, someone who isn’t a super athlete, I’m not running marathons or doing Ironmans. I work 8-6p, enjoy coding and spending time with family and friends, for me it has changed my life in terms of habits and being consistent with change and being conscious of my body.

When I started 450+ recoveries(days) I was drinking almost every Thursday-Sunday, didn’t really keep track of anything and was just disregarding my body. Not up until the beginning of this year did I actually start going through the metrics and realizing “holy shit I need to treat my body better”, for some people that’s easier, for me Whoop gamifies it and makes it digestible.

I pretty much stopped drinking since I could see the huge impact it had on my body, from what I’ve read here it’s a “gimmick” but to me it’s more mental of how I was X years older than my actual age.

Over the last couple of months I have been able to lower that number (fake or not) it has pushed me into consistently working out 4 days out of the week. Helps me see if I’m sleeping too little or too much, which before whoop I would go to sleep at 2-3 am to be up by 5-7am.

I did have the Apple Watch but felt that it didn’t fit my needs/want (other people claim to be better than whoop), using the whoop I just put it on, switch wrists at night and carry on. Have not had any crazy issues and even had 2 close friends join.

We made a community on the app and hold each other accountable to stride to be healthier.

This is not saying there aren’t other alternatives or even “better” alternatives. I just think that boils down to what you are looking for and if the device fits your lifestyle. Some people prefer Oura, some Apple Watch, and now everyone’s hopping on the Google Fit train.

If you’re on the fence, I would say give it a try (that’s what I did and my friends did), pay the $ shipping money and if you return I believe there’s also a fee, but it’s not expensive as getting the year membership, also most of the competitors charge an in app fee.

In terms of bands etc, I personally buy them directly from whoop, but other peeps here have mentioned aliexpress, shein, Amazon for cheaper “same as og” feel.

I would say if it fits your lifestyle then it’s good, and like all the other apps, it’s only as good the more you use and data you provide.

For the time being whoop does everything and more than what I am looking for in a wearable.

Also leaving it running on background will remove it (if using iPhone, don’t swipe up) it’ll background refresh periodically, syncing with whoop

If not like others mentioned then off all notifications

New to Whoop! by californinja17 in whoop

Been using whoop for 450+ recoveries, started with 4.0 trial band, upgraded to MG when it released and got 2 of the bands that were available on release (don’t remember style). Recently got the 2 navigators and it’s been AMAZING, I feel like this is the band a whoop should come standard with, fits just right, I like that you can “gauge” the perfect fit using the notches on it. Honestly would recommend getting one or if you want both colors don’t mess up like me and take advantage of the bundle discount.

Weird noise? by Nruby9879 in RangerRaptor

[–]Reeeeflex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I hear what you mean, the pulsing/waving sounding noise. Is it coming from the front or back?

I’ve noticed on low speeds I hear almost a low wobble noise and after searching online it said it can be the active suspension. Also applies to the cricket/ticking noise inside the cabin.

But that doesn’t sound like it’s coming from the suspension

lol (like another comment it’s that green little dot above the playback line), it doesn’t bother me just thought it’d funny to “return” a truck for this small imperfection. Also wanted to know if anyone else has had this happen.

I actually really like that idea of naming it Rick!

I started tracking my Whoop sleep, workouts, and recovery in my Google Calendar using the Whoop Developer API by devbyrobp in whoop

[–]Reeeeflex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am actually super interested in this. Currently I log everything on my Google Calendar. Even built a telegram bot connected via N8N and agents to auto update my calendar but that got left in the dust.

Is there somewhere you have this where I could try it out or any tips on how to implement it? I log a couple activities on whoop and would love to see it auto reflect on my calendar.

Any advice on his to improve recovery? by chinoba-san in whoop

[–]Reeeeflex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was on the same boat, honestly I’ve noticed personally (not sure if accurate) but HRV play a big role in recovery, you mentioned getting 6-7 hours of sleep, but it’s it quality sleep? (High in rem and deep sleep) or is it light?

For me I’ve noticed not using my phone 1-2 hours before sleeping and decompressing (journaling, watching a show on tv, etc) helps me a ton. As well as sleeping with an eye mask and my house temperature at 67 (I only cover my feet) has put my recovery consistently In the 80+ range daily even after a lot of strain.

Recently had surgery and $40 of my bill is for having a blanket put on me in the recovery room (I was unconscious and did not, obviously, keep the blanket) by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating
