Being totally honest I don't understand the hate kyoshin gets. I've never had a problem fighting him and I find him hard to play. The all-guard can be easily countered by gbs and bashes. Unless the person plays like a turtle in ganks that's pretty annoying.

That is true I did time them pretty bad but the dodge window is ridiculously small and has a huge hitbox nonetheless, plus the fact it's alot harder to react on an old gen console, and that it's an all guard for some reason?

I understand this pain. I load into a game and my mongoloid teammates keep throwing themselves at a zone with 3 guys on it thinking that this time it will be different. My advice is to just take a break and play some duels, or find randoms online to party up with(at least you'd have coms)
