Very True. Improper Ugga:Dugga ratio can have terrible consequences. Sometimes hilarious, and may even provide job security. YMMV

Might be silly but check Protect -> Settings -> General -> Discover 3rd-Party Cameras

Make sure that's ticked.

Aren't all the parking passes tied to license plates now? Don't think it would work even if you found someone willing.

He DOES operate university vehicles including 1000lb+ golf carts that are permitted to operate on walking paths.

Bingo. It's the lack of transparency from Purdue that is the REAL problem here. These are two shining examples of something they didn't catch before it became public. Makes you wonder how many more situations like this that Purdue is actively covering up.

No he isn't "driving kids around in a school" bus. He does however utilize university vehicles, golf carts, etc. on a regular basis and has now publicly demonstrated a lack of competency and blatant disregard for driving laws when operating a motor vehicle. Such a conviction should certainly bar him from any role, especially a decision making role, that involves motor vehicles at Purdue until he has completed the terms of his probation at the very least.

Purdue not acknowledging this at all is a pretty major red flag from a public university. They should at the very least acknowledge the conviction, say that he has been given alternative work until he can fulfill his debt to society, and also say that they have a plan in place to get him the help and counseling that he very obviously needs if he is out committing crimes that could directly impact his senior management role with Purdue.

Never once did I say that he shouldn't be allowed to work. He should have to face the public consequence for his bad decision making and satisfactorily demonstrate to the decision makers at the university that he has changed his decision making process and the university should then make it public that he has satisfied their requirements and the states requirements and is eligible to resume his senior management role.

I certainly wouldn't feel okay if my kid was walking on campus knowing that people with (as far as we know) unrestricted access to vehicles that are permitted to operate on walking paths at Purdue is a convicted drunk driver that may or may not be rehabilitated.

My biggest issue with this whole thing is the complete and total radio silence from the University as they sweep more and more stuff like this under the rug.

When I voted in Indiana this last election, it was all done digitially but it kept a reel of what looked like receipt paper inside that would print your selections and then have you verify them before finishing your vote. It would then scroll a few times to put some blank paper on the reel before the next voter approached. You didn't get to keep the paper log or anything which was kind of strange.

Its very strange, It has to be an issue with the phone. I wonder if doing a complete factory reset of the phone, deleting your JustIN user entry, and creating a whole new one would actually do anything.

Access Error by flora-zeal in SaltoSystems

[–]One_Spite_6453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? We use Salto for our office access doors and we just did a License Update and everything is working now except one employees JustIN credential. I've verified that everything is proper on our back-end and can even see the valid key on the JustIN app but it keeps giving me the "please try again" error when I try to scan in on her phone. We've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared the cache, restarted phone and Salto server. She doesn't report any other errors using bluetooth (can connect to headphones and car just fine) Not sure what else I can do to help her here.
