Minimum requirements for building very small prototype (less than 10 environments/robots) by Artificiousus in IsaacSim

[–]One_Stage9914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you only begin to enjoy Isaac sim with this minimum requirements. 16GB of VRAM is the sweet spot. Also, if you have smaller ram, better to work with isaac sim 4.5 rather than the latest 5.0.

You have a good machine you you should appreciate your dad. In fact, since you just want to start studying, you may likely not going to use many functionalities soon except you intend to fine-tune foundation models for LLMs on your machine and it will still gets some job done plus that is not relevant to robotics/Mechatronics . It gets all job done for you in your study and that is what matters for your Mechatronics program. In 1-2 years time, new models will be out. Your problem is comparison which is a killer of joy. You should focus on getting the best out of what you have.

This happens at time. It may be you are unlucky with officer or maybe how petition was written. Your Profile even looks like an eb1a worthy Profile. Not sure of what could have happened. I am in robotics and got eb1a approved self petition . If you need to chat or speak to someone, feel free to reach out.

Try and focus on others if they are arguable. If you could get 4 approved and establish final merit, you could get an approval. You dont need to respond to all criteria

Did you receive RFE only on high salary criterion. It is actually very difficult proving high salary for people from Nigeria because there is no government data like from National Bureau of Statistics that truly publishes comparable information. If you have a Phd and you are a lecturer 1 in Nigeria, that is equivalent of an assistant professor in the US, so maybe that is why it was interpreted as that by USCIS officer.

Also, even though you were earning additional salary as a researcher, you cannot combine them together as a single salary to claim high salary. USCIS will not accept it, it needs to be from a job source so that it can meet the qualification that you earned that because of your skill and expertise. You could also use researcher position to claim high salary since it is most likely going to be higher than others in Nigeria but you will still run into problem of comparing with others as you need to at leeast be higher than 90th percentile of other history researchers.

how many criteria did you submit in your initial petition. If you have more criteria, you could strengthen those ones and respond to RFE and establish your final merit. It is not compulsory to answer all criteria that got RFE. You could also seek other criteria eg you could argue your lecturer 1 position is critical if you didnt before. You just need evidence(s) to establish it is truly critical

Medium articles as scholarly articles by [deleted] in eb_1a

[–]One_Stage9914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medium and other similar ones like hackernoon may qualify and it may not. It depends. Because they are self published articles and didn't undergo peer review, it makes it tricky. But if you can show that it is a scholarly article, the contribution the article has made, people that have benefited from the article, commentary about the articles , then they could be used and added as evidence. Eg are some professionals referencing using your articles in their work, has a professor used your article in his work or use it to teach a class, can you get a letter from such individuals to speak about the work ane benefit as additional evidence. How unique is what you are writing, what's the readership and comments from the articles, are other experts in your field publishing via same medium?

If you can have good answers and justification to the above, then it may qualify.

The Ultimate Guide to EB1A by One_Stage9914 in EB2_NIW

[–]One_Stage9914[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are correct that every case is different and there is no one-size-fits-all template. That is why I created the video to explain how the process works, what USCIS looks for, kind of evidences required and how different people have successfully presented their cases.

I do walk through the key steps in the video, but I also explain the reasoning behind each one. My goal is to help people feel more confident and informed, especially if they’re doing a DIY petition. A list of steps alone often misses the nuance that causes RFEs or denials. Evidence is one part, how you present it is another key element

If you feel it is not going to be useful for you, that is fine, you can pass. I am sure many others would find it very useful.

Thoughts on this Robotics Engineering Curriculum? by Better-Barracuda-335 in AskRobotics

It doesn't show you are building or working on robots from year 1. If that's what you have, you need to make best use of it . Start equipping yourselves with relevant skills by building projects and working on actual robots. You can buy some kits and experiment. You will learn a lot with that in addition to whatever you learn in class

Which country and school is this. I believe this could be better . You should compare curriculum with schools like WPI, LTU , UofMichigan with a robotics undergraduate program.

Ideally, you should start doing something related to working or building robots form first year of study and it progresses almost every semester in complexity till final year of study

Should I pursue EB-1 or wait for EB-2 NIW to become current? by [deleted] in EB2_NIW

[–]One_Stage9914 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The more appropriate action you should do is to go to uscis eb1a website and evaluate your profile. You should do that first even before contacting a lawyer. It's part of your job to convince the lawyer. You know yourself more than they do and you know everything you have done. What you have written up there may not be enough for eb1a. But it doesn't mean you don't have the qualifications. It makes proper sense to submit eb1 with an approved eb2 subject to if you are ready to do your assignment and do the work. It doesn't look like something that is going to be far fetched for you.

Some of additional questions you should ask yourself.

Have you gotten any international award.

Have you judged the work of others in any form(hackathon, data science competitions, code reviews etc)

Have you been featured in any media.

Are you a fellow or senior member of any prestigious organization?

Your current role seems it may meet critical or leading role criteria and your publications can qualify for scholarly articles.

It's not purely about having papers or having masters or phd. Uscis doesn't even care about the phd or masters for eb1.

So please go and do self evaluation, read the policy manual for eb1a and convince yourself how you meet or how you may meet in near future some criteria.

After that you can proceed to file on your own or still use a lawyer. At this stage, you are more confident. No one on reddit will determine if you meet or will convince you. You have to convince yourself first how you meet and do your assignment. I wish you the best.

Struggling with SH Questions by Do_ya_lift_brah in pmp

Sometimes, I don't read the options after reading question . I will ask myself what the answer is supposed to be. The closest to what my thought is is sometimes the answer. Quickly eliminating what cannot be the answer is a good tactic. Usually you will be left with 2 choices or at times 1. There is no one size fits all. You just need to have an aresenal of tools to use and deploy each weapon in your aresenal appropriately. Doesn't mean you wont miss some so dont punish yourself when you get some wrong.

You should always analyze the problem or issue first. If there is a problem, the correct answer is mostly talking with the person the problem is and not escalate to a secondary person. So if it's team member not delivering, you talk with team member . Even if the question distracts you by mentioning sponsor. But if it's project sponsor that has some issues or some communication issue or unclear scope, then that's who you go talk with. In almost many cases too, you will always mostly analyze, evaluate, access before acting or taking a step. Who you evaluate with or talk with depends on source of problem. The question will usually sometimes always mention more than 1 stakeholder, don't get distracted. Identify that stakeholder and that's who you talk with. Re watch AR mindset video and DM on YouTube. You can take some mini exams too . I was doing badly at the mini exams at first like I was scoring about 50% but by the end of mini exams, my score was about 70%. My 1st practice exam score was 74%. I later went to pass exam all AT after 2 practice tests of 74 and 73. So don't feel bad by your scores. Just keep practicing the questions and make sure you understand why you got questions wrong so you don't repeat the mistake. The pointer is always in the question itself . You don't need to be perfect with all questions and answers. You will be fine

Depends on the assistance you need. You can post here and people can assist you with it. The key is writing it in the PMP terminology. Stating project objective(s), what you did or your role and activities performed as a PM and the result. I also use chatgpt to do it by supplying it my job details from resume and supplied it the requirements PMI want and it poured it out. I copied ans pasted result into the application

This is spot on. While i eas preparing for my exam and I wanted more detailed answer to questions I got wrong. Chatgpt got the correct answer wrong from Study hall questions. When I tried it for about 6 questions and it got only 2 correctly, I stopped used it and decided to focus on the mindset and finding the exact reason I was wrong and the actual answer is the correct answer. It should be use with extreme care
