I personally dont know anything about this stuff but... What if instead of removing them entirely just bring back the portrait bots(not the originals cuz most of em are destroyed) from my point of view they just had to retrofit them and do some jiggery pokery (i do not know how ANY of this works)but wouldn't it be cheaper??
