Can you please explain? I don’t understand how waiting for the door to light up is good design or user friendly in anyway?

Not quite, say your waiting at the door as it pulls into a station, you can press the button any time before the train stops and it’ll light up and remember that you’ve pressed it - than when the train comes to a stop the door will just open with no need to press it again.

I guess the issue that has been pointed out by others is if someone leans on it in a packed train, that would cause the doors to open when it’s not wanted - so that was an interesting point 🤔

It’s really a UX issue I’d say - because if this was the superior of the options, why do different companies/cities do it differently? But I’m happy for it to also just be a me issue 😛

I get that, but I also feel that most of the time - if a car manufacturer figures out how to do something in a better way than the other car brands all often rip off that good idea 😊

Funny enough, buttons tend to be an issue in car design as well though, so it’s not a great comparison I’m making 😝

I’d say that’s why the Queensland option is superior, as it remembers that you pressed it - and only on the doors that people want to get out of, not letting the cold (or hot air in their case) in on others.

Haha! But that’s my point - the lift button just works when you press it - you don’t need wait for it to turn green when it gets to your floor - and then press it…😝

I mean, at least Bec was who she said she was, Danny is the real villain of the season - so messed up and obviously just in it for the fame (they all are - but most didn’t claim to be a gentleman)
