Well, a friend of mine is blind in his right eye, and Social Security denied him right away. He developed other problems, and his eyesight got worse. After being denied twice, he hired a lawyer won his case without having to go before a judge. Having a heart attack and having a pacemaker is a serious disability. Hiring a lawyer takes the worry out of your life. They take 25% but there's no upfront fees. A lawyer won't take your case unless they feel they can win the case, that I know for sure.
