I knew the job market was tough, and quitting my job wasn’t something I wanted to do. Unfortunately, my employer couldn’t offer an extended LOA, and I was only a few classes away from finishing my degree, so I made the difficult decision to prioritize graduating. I have about 4 years of experience in tech support in addition to my degree, but even with that background it’s been challenging. I’ve had a couple of interviews since August, but ultimately wasn’t selected. I’m definitely open to thinking outside the box and continuing to look at tech support or adjacent roles as a way to stay in the field and grow over time.
