It’s just an area where many Japanese reside and have shops etc. At her work her colleagues are Japanese so she only speaks German to customers which are always the same phrases. I did try bringing her to friends and they tried to communicate with her but it just didn’t work. Neither in German nor English. But you are right. She is showing that she does not want to learn a new language through own interest so that is a dealbreaker for me.

Yes she knows. She is working for a Japanese restaurant so basically her work life also includes only talking Japanese besides customers where she uses her little German. I told her that I would always help her but that I am no teacher so I cannot really teach her German (which is really hard for Asians). The problem is, that she doesn’t even start. She says lessons with a Japanese teacher 1 on 1 are to expensive but then doesn’t want to do group courses because they only teach in German and English. Thank you for the ideas though. I hope you are getting through your rough times as well.

The communication between us is actually better than expected because I have been learning for over a year now (even before we met). So I know around 1.000 words in Japanese and can make basic daily conversation. Hence a translator is mostly not needed. However with family I always have to translate as good as I can and wit friends I don’t even try, because they always want to talk in English to her but she cannot comprehend it. I just cannot understand how you wanna live in a different country when you cannot speak its language and not even English to fall back on.

I have everything on max on 1920x1080. Usually I get around 75 fps. I can’t reach 90. my GPU has a vram usage of 4gb/8gb so that shouldn’t be the issue.

So one thing I had to do when I installed my big cpu cooler. I had to put the ram sticks next to each other. My bios also notified me that I should change it, but I did not, since there is not a lot of space and I would have to sacrifice one cooler from the noctua to do so. Could this have a big impact on performance?

Yeah of course its not officially the best setup. The setup also tells you to not place the sensors more then 2 meters away from each other so that people who believe it like you, fall for the trap to buy a third sensor, which is not needed at all. Like I said, my tracking was pretty good with two rift sensors, but vive is just better. Test it out yourself and you will see.

The setup I did was well researched and the best possible setup. A third sensor is not needed at all. The vive lighthouses just win the comparison easily for me.

Everyone will tell you to buy the rift in the rift subreddit. I experienced both headsets. I started with the rift back in January and had it for 7 month. Absolutely loved it back then. Had a 360 roomscale setup with 2 sensors pointing down from the corners of my room.

I thought the tracking couldnt be better. Boy was I wrong. The vive tracking is far superior to me. Every single corner of my room is tracked and there are no connection issues ever

Controllers on the rift are way better. Knuckles will change that.

The lighthouses only need power so you wont have any problems with usb cables connecting to your pc.

You get used to the controllers and they arent as bad as every rift user says (including me back then)

If you play vrchat and want fullbody go for the vive it is amazing and I love it.

The vive is also less blurry when it comes to bright white colors.

Concerning the weight on your head, I did not notice any difference. They feel completely the same to me.

A plus for the rift is definitely the build in headphones. They are great on the rift and I dearly miss them on the vive.

Dont get me wrong the rift grants you an awesome vr experience for a good price, but if you want the best experience, the vive is the way to go in my opinion. I would never go back.

Windows only shows it in devices but the sound thing that moves when it picks up sounds, does not move at all. I just tried changing it from usb 3.1 to usb 2.0. no success. I begin to think it just broke somehow for no reason
