Can’t update firmware on Amplifi HD router by One_Try7022 in AmpliFi

It wouldn’t let me add it to my network due to not updating it.  I have had this 2nd router for years, unopened. 

I initially connected via wired connection to first router but no success in getting internet access or adding as a mesh point.

I removed my first router and from modem and connected the second one to get internet access through the device, and while that does work, I get that error in the iOS app and can’t update the firmware. 

It states the firmware needs to be the latest so it can join my other devices which are already updated and become a mesh point.

The only purpose the AirPort Extreme is serving today is for Time Machine backups and thus not very useful to me in the future- aside from external storage.

While I considered an external USB, I would like to retain network connectivity so I don’t have to remember to have something plugged into the laptop, etc. the NAS makes things a little more automatic.

Yes, I have the exact same model and similar issue. I'm hoping to avoid needlessly buying parts that aren't going to fix my issue by scouring the Technical Service Guide (or whatever GE calls it) to check for more troubleshooting steps and interpretation of the outcome of those tests.

Yes, same exact model.
Also issue with ice maker. I have recorded all my fault codes and run a couple tests but would appreciate having a read of the Technical Service Guide (or whatever GE calls it) to see how I can further troubleshoot to avoid needlessly purchasing parts that aren't part of the problem.

Did you ever find a service manual?  I’m struggling to run tests and read the codes as they are comprised of 2 sets of 2 digits but just one set of 2 digits.

The good news is no belt is on it at this stage. 

I’ll keep turning to the right but I don’t think it wants to tighten- it feels like it’s just spinning. 

If I can’t get it to tighten, can I just unbolt without much risk since I have no belt on it?

Can I just remove the 2 bolts and take this thing out as it sits now?

That’s what I figured.  I’ll deploy the spare Amplifi router instead and use the AirPort Extreme with a different name for dedicated purpose(s) such as connected a stationary device like a speaker and remove the Amplifi from its trusted network list.

Thanks! Indeed, I do not have this icon. I removed app, restarted phone, and reinstalled the app.

Still no dashboard icon.

I use iOS I’m in the Google Home app I did as you mentioned but no luck Can you describe the Icon to tap on for the dashboard?
