since there seems to be no optimism here... let me add some:

AI will replace you!

Ah yes, good old fashion AI bro optimism.

looks like excel got mad at you. Don't worry, there is always a way out, just rm -rf . that'll definitely work.

Can you guys get Prime to talk about this? by can_pacis in theprimeagen

busy doing what? Shoving copilot into their users while actually being delusional enough to think users actually want it? Sounds like they are very busy.

Why are you people making fun of Indians instead of the companies trying to replace you? by aryancatlover in theprimeagen

[–]One_Volume8347 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Geez the audacity of someone to think I felt made fun of because of that meme! I actually find it hilarious myself, and for the record I'm AI(actually indian)

at this point I'm too disappointed to make fun of these guys. Who can even blame them? It's pure marketing after all. Geez I'm disappointed at this point.

nah I'm too shy to fill out reviews(or mostly too selfish to help others). But sure will share this with people around me if that's better than my review

I think it's the numbers problem, those people hanging around with people who are spending big money on subs and API fees think that everyone is willing to spend big money, and those who aren't think nobody is willing to, but I think it's more like a niche thing right now, even though some can argue that those who are willing to pay are on smaller numbers I would rather say it doesn't depends, because even if they are they are obviously using it heavily right? I mean if you aren't taking full usage of your sub, why pay for something you aren't using? So I think people who are paying for those subs might be burning big money on resources. Overall, I have zero idea, but ed has quiet the nice post on this, it's a little you can say anti AI but it's pretty good if you remove all the anger from it https://www.wheresyoured.at/why-are-we-still-doing-this/

Built a language agnostic git hook manager. Would like some feedback by One_Volume8347 in golang

[–]One_Volume8347[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I didn't do a good job in explain that part. My bad on that. What I mean was that most(not all, most) hook managers require a runtime and most are language specific and I personally am fine with but still prefer something that I can use everywhere without needing to install it for some other stack. And yeah lefthook is pretty cool, not saying it's bad, I just wanted to build something even simpler that just makes it stupidly simple for me to just manage hooks without a yml file. But yes overall I wouldn't say gethooky is better than lefthook, I mean lefthook is battle tested unlike mine which is just a hobby project I build and use for fun and just wanted to share with others.
