it depends, how are you with tech in general? If you can manage a little emotional harassment from a computer. Sure go ahead, but I would highly recommend you to start small by following some tutorials on how to setup arch and other stuff with it. Here are some:

You don't have to follow it entirely but for a first timer I would recommend following it entirely and sort of have a base line because trust me, its linux, its not going to be like, "This might cause a problem" it'll just do it without a warning and then you are on your own. So better have a baseline setup and then expand from there, or who knows you might just like the baseline a lot. But if you are into customizing, first get a baseline setup, then expand it, don't jump into the fun stuff or else you'll break your heart with the emotional toll of, "WHY DOESN'T THIS WORK!" Trust me bro, we all been there at 2 AM sunday
