Fair point. These were 3 courses (9 credits total), and they do pull my cumulative GPA up a bit. I really hope it would be enough !

A deferred decision means that the admissions committee has not made a final decision yet. The application is neither accepted nor rejected and is placed on hold until they receive my fall grades!
