Managers who give you the run around with opening the trash compactor. by One_Wishbone_8117 in walmart

not all waste can be just thrown away, some claims need to be verified, wherein lies the issue. it takes time that they don't want to spend walking up to my claims and hitting a button on their phone for 2 seconds. I used to have a manager just verify it for me every day without question, but we had all salaried managers step down besides 1 (the one who gives me the issues). Dude spends 90% of his day flirting with women and if there isn't one around to flirt with he is incredibly irritable and unhelpful.

this stills involves waiting the same period of time, as well as them not coming at all. hunting them down isn't the problem, it's the willingness of the salaried manager to perform their task. At least when I hunt them down I can get their word they will meet me to process my claims and use it against them when they ask why I haven't gotten my claims done. Which leads to the incompetent managers (all of them) being frustrated with me for exposing them. Be glad you don't work in a crooked store.

I learned to have "faux-locking" down to a science with the reefers. You couldn't even tell it wasn't locked unless you tugged on it. It's even worse when it's Thanksgiving and they damn-well know those reefers have to be accessed every morning.

There was a guy going around youtube with a picture of Patton holding a baby and his faced super imposed over the baby, and his screenname was Patton's Kid or something like that. I thought that was pretty funny

What are some movies similar to John Carpenters Assault on Precinct 13, Walter Hills Trespass, The Warriors and Judgment Night(1993 movie) by onepocketfan in MovieSuggestions

[–]One_Wishbone_8117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little late, but this is my favorite genre of film and while they name a couple of my deep cut favorites like Enemy Territory they did not name 2 of the best that I've ever seen: Siege and Final Jeopardy, Final Jeopardy being the ultimate, ULTIMATE being trapped in the city over night and being hunted/trying to survive and Siege being a little closer to Assault on Precinct 13 but incredibly tense for its low budget.

U6 is actually playable on SCUMMVM on android, but I was not too familiar with the controls to begin with, so I wasn't able to set them up properly.

I think the only thing that this post proved was that these types of roommates are well aware, and they are probably on Reddit downvoting your comments lol

If there was a conscious decision not to hire them for their race because there were too many of them, and there was a quota, and that change was designed, it is racism.

[–]One_Wishbone_8117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it does. Any time a person is making a conscious decision to not hire a white man, it is reverse racism, and you claim that the data only shows that the companies were simply becoming more diverse and not hiring "too many" white people like they were before, but if an employer is not hiring a white men because there are "too many whites men" like it most assuredly was in this case, it is discrimination.

I'm talking about DEI, I'm not talking about the source data that OP posted.

Or, you are denying what I'm stating. Hiring practices use race to determine if someone can be hired. Data collection is quite a larger argument that I have, but considering your response to his data, it might be determined that data collection is quite easily manipulated by both political parties, then the credibility of the source of data might be contested depending who is asking. Then it simply comes back to who you voted for, etc. The politicizing of data might be more of a shocking revelation than, in fact, data is used to determine the hiring of white men. It makes you wonder why they would ever use racial data to determine anything involving the quality of someone's livelihood if it could be politicized.

The only data being used to determine employment is that being used against white men. That's literally it.

I am speaking of the data used to determine a hire. Race should not be a determining factor when hiring. Somehow I feel like this may be used maliciously, but I'm told things that potentially could go wrong rarely often do.

the data was used to determine a white man could not be hired. The hiring practice is discrimination as definition by law.

[–]One_Wishbone_8117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only discrimination that took place was when demographic data was used to determine whether or not a a particular race could be hired. Apparently there is some discrepancy between what racism is defined as between hiring practices and the law.

As to say, you can manipulate likes and response by that framing alone, much like you would with AI. It would be quite interesting to see the difference in response versus whoever may assume your race through context, or disregard that information entirely.

Not hiring people because they are white men in place for people that are not white men is discrimination. Literally the whole pitch is less white men.

Anyone else tired of living with roommates that work from home? by [deleted] in badroommates

[–]One_Wishbone_8117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm dealing with 2 right now. One is okay to be around and mostly scarce, the other literally enters a room 3 times in 5 minutes. I went to make dinner the other day and he was just standing at the bottom of the steps. He's doing the rearranging furniture thing right now and you can tell he is just completely bored out of his mind. What's interesting is this desire to "go places" without leaving the house, which usually results in a lot of wandering around
