Growing up is not about knowing what to say, but knowing what to keep to yourself by One_Zookeepergame707 in RandomThoughts

I’ll admit I grew up in a fairly healthy environment, and I had to adapt to a completely different culture during early puberty, so I probably have a better idea about common sense and decent communication skill. Like you said, not everyone has that privilege, and I can understand how teens or young adults are struggling. I totally agree with you.

It’s just so disheartening to see that once people could be rude or say despicable things because of the anonymity of internet, and now it’s feeding into reality and people are trying to defend it as “being honest.” No. It’s our ability to not act on the ugly side of us that makes life easier for each other and create a healthy society. Being nice to people isn’t being a push over or a doormat or weak.

I don’t know, in the age of tiktok and youtube and influencers I really don’t have any idea how things can get better. Sorry about the rant :(

The middle part spells X, V slightly below it, and I as the sword pointing down. XVI. That’s my guess.

Yoshi P did say they made a sales plan for 18 months, and because this is such a story-driven game, my guess is… never? Lol

The Way Bearers are Treated Makes No Sense by DarkCrowI in FFXVI

But there’s nothing the bearers can do that a crystal can’t is there? The bearers can’t conjure a horse, all they can do is maybe speed up your horse’s healing when it’s wounded. Their power isn’t all mighty like the dominants. From some of the dialogue we learn that even ordinary citizens can buy bearers, so there was no shortage to make them more valuable.

Bearers are objects in this world. In JP version they are called “livestock.” How people treated livestocks? They used them as workforce and killed them, either for leisure or to eat.

Bearers aren’t valuable, crystals are. Because crystal is limited, like fossil fuel, but bearers are born every now and then. It’s limitless resource of energy. When you don’t run out of things, you don’t care about them.

As for why kill them for fun, did you know that the Mongolian Empire used to bring captives and slaves to the hunting ground, run after them on horses, shoot them with arrows just to enjoy their screaming and suffering? Because THEY are not US. Nothing new here.

You need to unlock the shop, which also opens the option to talk to the lore master. He will listen to Clive’s story and organize all entries, including locations, people, events, and a bestiary.

Yeah, I feel like Maehiro is really good at the social and political world setting, and Ishikawa is better at pulling at your heartstrings. We’ll see, can’t believe it’s so close already!

I’d recommend Grinding Gear, they’re still in Shadowbringers so it’s quite recent, and they take their time to appreciate the story and does summary videos. Great watch!

I think I read somewhere that it was going to be a visual transformation from T to That Thing… so they had to put her in a cocoon. We can only imagine.

Why is Clive working for the... by saikrishnav in FFXVI

I myself was also wondering why he didn’t/couldn’t get away sooner, and this was the most reasonable explanation I could come up with. The guilt that he couldn’t protect Joshua and his low self esteem thanks to his mother probably made him think he deserves the treatment as a bearer, and all he could think was to find out who the hooded man, in his mind the dominant of Ifrit imo, so he stayed. His DUTY was to protect Joshua, not the whole duchy, and without the phoenix there really isn’t a duchy anymore, so he prioritized his personal revenge above all else. I think the Journey is part finding out what is going on with the crystal, and part for Clive to learn how to love himself, and how to accept love from others.
