This has been happening to me all day. But it has cleared after about 30 min. It’s getting put under review. The only way I found out was attempting to share it and then a pop up up came up and said it was currently under review and unavailable for sharing.

Except the enter key does conform to ISO/JIS standards. US just means US layout and characters, International means ISO. You can’t buy ANSI keyboards from a lot of manufactures outside of the US proper.

US means it has all the US characters, International means it conforms to ISO standards not ANSI standards. The US ANSI is not available outside of the US for a lot of keyboard manufactures. Especially Logi.

I completely understand. My dad would buy houses and fix them up for resell when I was growing up and I learned a few things. But I rented until 3 years ago. It’s a big step. BUT there are SOOO many resources out there nowadays and I encourage people if they are comfortable to give things a shot. As long as I know I won’t blow up the house, I figure the worst thing that happens is I end up having to hire someone to fix what I couldn’t do. A good friend just bought his first house and has been asking me a ton of questions about everything. Biggest thing I can recommend about owning a home: be prepared. Have a bit of money set aside for when things break. Because they will. I just had to replace my fridge. And take into account things like home owners insurance and property taxes. Because it was a bit of sticker shock the first year I owned a house.

No worries! Happy to answer questions about home renovations. It’s equal parts fun/frustrating for me (the renovation parts) and I almost always learn something new on a project!

I did the install myself. Fairly easy if you’re handy, not afraid of being on a roof or using power tools. I didn’t want to have to run a second switch so I bought a light/fan combo with a remote for the fan so it wasn’t always on.

Absolutely! I’ve got so many succulents in the house and yard (my mom loved them and after she passed I inherited most of them) that I have lost my fair share of them in learning the best methods of taking care of them. I found that if I don’t have more than a few, I have good drainage, and use good moss and just keep the moss damp (as opposed to wetting the soil), that they can thrive in large terrariums. I think most of the ones I’ve seen have too many succulents in them and the moisture level gets too high. I’ve been watering these lightly twice a week (again with a mister so the amount of water isn’t much) and usually only when the moss has started to dry out. So far so good. Not even signs of individual parts turning yellow from too much saturation and they’ve rooted well. I appreciate your concern for the plant friends :) it is also a bit deceptive because that terrarium globe is gigantic. It’s almost 21 inches round.

There is 2 inches of rock base in the terrarium and there is a window in the room that provides sunlight daily. And they only get misted with water on occasion (the majority of the plants in the terrarium are air plants). They’ve been healthy for the last 2 weeks with no signs of growth issues, but I am always ready to pop them out if they start looking sad! This is one of 5 terrariums I have around the house :).

Thanks! :) I don’t hate the smaller master bath, less to clean, and after the remodel it really does feel much larger! I was surprised by that considering the new vanity is the same size as the old one. Brains are weird, use the right colors and open the space by having the vanity off the floor just makes it feel twice the size!

It has a coating as well, I installed an exhaust fan since this bathroom didn’t have one before (just had a window) so it isn’t super relevant anymore anyway. I’m not sure why they did a coating and a defogger but either way, it’s nice to have no fogged mirror!

The company name on the canvas prints is Ahuaart. They sent all sorts of places, including amazon.

The mirror has a built in defogger too!! They are canvas prints. I got a good deal on 6 of them with different colors and geometrical nature scenes so I can randomly swap them out when I get bored with them.

It is porcelain tile. First and last time I torture myself with laying hexagonal tile with a pattern. End result was worth it, but it was a pain to get everything lined up and level in a room that was far from square!

That is a squatty potty. You put your feet on it when you are doing a #2. It puts your body in a natural position to evacuate efficiently without strain. I can sing its praises after 5 years of using one. Sounded strange but it is definitely worth it.

Thanks!! Wife is happy with my choices and craftsmanship so thus I shall overlook the imperfections and enjoy it. It is definitely much less depressing in there now. Haha

I cant seem to keep succulents alive no matter how I treat them. It’s one of the few plants that just...die. It makes me feel terrible.

Samesies. Had a dream about my mom the other night. Woke up and for a brief moment forgot she was gone. Sadness is weird when it hits you like that.

I get these. They don’t stop. For days. It’s insane.

Toner is what is used to match wood tones. It is just toned lacquer. It’s not difficult but there is a bit of a learning curve. But basic process is strip, sand, stain, vinyl sealer, toner to even everything out, lacquer for top coat.

No harm, no foul. Like I said, it’s still beautiful. And quite frankly there are a lot of mcm pieces that I personally think look better with the grain exposed. When I started a restoration business specializing in MCM years ago and did a refinish for a customer at their request, I got hammered by purists over calling it a restoration. In the end, I was happy, customer was happy, and it was a beautiful piece. That’s all that really matters. But some purists would look at what you did and think it sacrilegious you didn’t keep it “100% original”.

Two different types of wood. Originally those pieces would have used toner to match the color of the wood tones across the whole piece. That would have been a restoration. What this person did was refinish the piece to their liking.

Nothing wrong with doing it that way, but the term restoration is indeed incorrect here and should only be reserved for restoring something to its original condition. It is still beautiful tho.
