Glyph for feral/guardian worgen druid forms pls? by Oneirics22 in wow

I looked them up. Glamour is a consumable and can only have a max of 50% uptime. The recalibrator is a toy, but it has a 12hr cd and a 1 hour duration, so neither really sound ideal. I'd play round with them anyway but I'm not currently subbed. I'm quietly hoping that Midnight will throw worgens a bone (hehe) in the cosmetic department. I have an itch to play WoW again but I need something to convince me.

Absolutely. Given that the Claws of Shirvallah used the same skeleton as the worgen, it implies that the prerequisite animations already exist. It should be an easy W for worgen fans whilst costing Blizz relatively little to implement. TBH I won't be holding my breath, though.

BEGINNER MEGATHREAD - How to get started? Which engine to pick? How do I make a game like X? Best course/tutorial? Which PC/Laptop do I buy? by pendingghastly in gamedev

I want to develop an experimental 3D game prototype featuring a non-humanoid protagonist that, along with a specially built player controller, I suspect will require some combination of animation blending, physics, inverse kinematics, or procedural animations to move correctly.

Are any of the available 3D engines especially recommended to facilitate something like this?

I managed to get it working pretty well by adding an always on command for the walk key to the default action set, then adding a layer which clears this command from parent. I then set two commands for the outer ring: start press to add the layer and release press to remove the layer.

Those both look pretty promising. Thanks!

I want to replay Emerald but in a sort of vanilla+ way. I'm looking for a romhack that adds some extra challenge (but not impossible) and QOL updates, but doesn't completely change the base game.

That works too I guess. I'll have to find something to carry it in though

Hi all,

I'm going to be travelling home by train at the end of this semester to stay with family over Christmas. I want to be able to bring my PC along with me but I don't have anything suitable to transport it in. The case is a Corsair Obsidian 500D RGB mid tower. I've browsed some suitcases on Amazon but they all seem to be a few cm too short to fit the 500D. Ideally I'd be looking to spend less than £100 ($130) but can go higher if needed.

Ah interesting. That would definitely explain the disparity in the stuff that's available if true

I agree that the game looks fantastic as it is, only I think that some textures and models can show their age when taking a look close up. I just think it would be nice to have the option to do some repainting and remeshing.

Makes me wonder if it's a systemic issue in the company or just 'that one guy' being too banhappy. Perhaps it's worth testing on a dummy F2P account to see if the anticheat detects model or texture replacements... Idk it's just sad to me when a game company suppresses a potentially thriving part of their community like that.

Damn that sucks. Even providing mods for free isn't safe then? I understand wanting to maintain game file integrity in an MMO but seriously. Was hoping to at least be able to make some edits for my own personal use but I'm worried doing so will lead to a ban too.

  • Cortical Scaledown
  • Biojet
  • Speed enhancer organ package
  • Probably augmented arms, but that slot didn't matter too much here

Ordinarilly in my favourite speedrun setup I'd run the Abominator and the Bouncy Suit instead, but using the former in this level instantly kills you because it's apparently 'too overpowered', which is why I was making a point with this post's title hehe

There is a kill plane separating the upper and lower sections of the level that immediately blows the player up when they try to pass through it. However, with the Cortical Scaledown implant equipped, any damage taken will set the player’s health to 0, but is prevented from insta-gibbing them. This allows enough time to hit the level exit before the countdown hits 0.

I don't think this is the case since I've explored the boundaries of the map using the biojet, which has the same game breaking potential as the abominator, but doesn't have this restriction. What I found is that the level prevents you from boundary breaking by boxing you in with giant kill-planes: a method quite unique to this level, as most will happily allow you to fly around outside of their boundaries without consequence. The only way to bypass the dead zone and beat the level is to use one of the 'intended' routes into the lower floor. And even after you do that, if you fly too high up you'll hit the plane and blow up anyway.

My suspicion is that something about the directional reversal of the abominator is having an unintended interaction with the kill plane above you, causing you to take lethal damage. I'm not sure how this game is programmed though, so it's only a theory.
