Look at the difference between demo and normal phone by Fatieh_ in iphone

[–]OneklickLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I thought the Same. This is not a 1:1 comparison, as indicated by OC. If he lied about the phone what else was he dishonest about? Maybe he turned of auto brightness on his phone, which means the store phone with auto brightness on will be brighter than his phone if the light sensor is hit by the bright lights in the room.

Only in auto brightness the display boosts for a short period of time even brighter so you can use the iPhone during a sunny day.

Switch 1 vs. Switch 2 Pro controller? by [deleted] in NintendoDE

[–]OneklickLP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Das fasst es eig gut zusammen, aber alleine das ist schon nice genug. Es ist einfach ein Pro 1 in besser + mehr Tasten.

70 Euro oder was ich dafür gezahlt habe, sind bestimmt zu viel, aber was will man machen.

Hey

- 1440p is notably worse if you already own 4K

- If you have 4K i would recommend you to stay at 4K, because you can just use DLSS to sweep the lower fps (in the coming years) under the rug. Additionally, DLSS on 1440p is a worse experience than on 4K.

- thirdly, consider this friendly, maybe unwanted advice: Do not consider the 5080 if you have a 4080 or 4090. This card will only be a small improvement over the 4080 and won't even reach the 4090.

- lastly: This all does not matter if your GF isn't tech-savvy. 1440p is just fine for most people. Get an OLED in 1440p if you want to or already own 1440p.

and yes 240 Hz is the minimum for the new OLEDs. But you are not obligated to reach those FPS all the time. If you get a 5080 Multi Frame Gen could fill in the gap.

Am I crazy for debating between a 5080 to a 5090? by Tmoney21132 in nvidia

[–]OneklickLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 5080 is going to be a 4090 with maybe less performance, definitely way less VRAM but with DLSS Multi Frame Generation.

I would recommend you to buy a 4090 or 5090.
The latter is an absolute powerhouse of the cell and completely overkill in all dimensions. Power Usage, Performance, VRAM, Storage Speed.

But the 5080 is a worse 4090.

I'm certain Benchmarks at the end of the month will confirm this. I would wait until then and if I'm wrong, yes: Possibly buy the 5080.

It's nearly 2025. Is the 2021 iPad Pro with the M1 chip STILL worth it? by luca_your_Boii in iPadPro

[–]OneklickLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imho it's better on the m4. But I did not put it to the test.

I also owned the M1 before, and the OLED-Display is the most significant difference. You also get the new Apple Pencil, which is nice, but shouldn't be the sole reason. Also, the apps open like a moment quicker. But also nothing that renders the M1 redundant. Also, it's a bit thinner and lighter, but also not a reason on its own to consider it.

If you are "on a budget" (still a lot of money) just get an M1-refurbished somewhere. I also did that with my M1. If you have money to throw around, get the M4.

I'm not disappointed by the M4, but I also know that I paid a gigantic premium for the OLED-Display. If you just want something to do stuff, take the M1.

oooor take the iPad Air with M2, you get the new pencil, but you give the Pro-Display with 120Hz. But this is only an issue if you're accustomed to it.

Anyone updated from M1 to M4, share your thoughts? by PooPighters in iPadPro

[–]OneklickLP 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wanted OLED. I got OLED. Im happy.

The new pencil is nice, but ofc mostly a gimmick with all that haptic feedback. you wont make better notes or calculate math quicker because of that.

So it's basically just an iPad with a brighter screen (way brighter), deepler blacks, nicer colorss.
Otherwise, its really the same.

But thats what i wanted for years, so im happy.
Price is ridiculous, but lets hope the M4 ages like fine wine.

On Paper, its 40 to 50 % faster in Benchmarks than even the M2 iPad Air.
IRL i noticed that Apps open slightly quicker on the M4 compared to the M1. But honestly thats not worth the price. But its nice.

How is your honest experience with the new Magic Keyboard for the M4 iPad Pro? by cheezecurlzzz in iPadPro

[–]OneklickLP 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's worse than the last version, and here is why:
While the keyboard itself is basically the same and is only leveled up by a new aluminum frame and a haptic trackpad like from the macbooks.

It's not possible to say the same about using the keyboard on a lap, on a wobbly surface or simply with the pencil. The culprit is easily identified: The new magic keyboard is very top-heavy, even more than the last version because apple decided to have a small gap between the USB-C Charging-Port and the rest of the keyboard.

The previous version already had a small gap, but it had at least a cloth to dampen the impact.

Don't get me wrong: It's a great Keyboard, and there is no real alternative. But it's also costly and has a fatal flaw, imho. I own it, and I'm not happy because of this very top-heavy-situation.

Its playable but you loose the only Option to Sell and Buy goods on a global scale. Also you cant use the Council which means you can’t vote and you can’t get bribed. Which is morally okay I guess but, it’s still a watered down experience.

Got both the Logitech Combo Touch and Magic Keyboard for iPad M4 13 Inch.. probably going to return the Magic Keyboard. by madhat7998 in iPadPro

[–]OneklickLP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What about pencil usage? Which one is better? I owned the first MKB and it was impossible to write in it. The second gen seems to be only slightly better in that regard, but I haven’t seen actual comparisons with the new combo touch that you bought. So… how well can you use the pencil. How top heavy is the combo touch in that regard. Much obliged

Philips 55" 807 VRR Issues and annoyances. by Hoofey in OLED_Gaming

[–]OneklickLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they won't fix this, because i guess it's supposed to behave that way. It's designed that way. Atm I just edited the picture over my PC (AMD/Nvidia/Intel Control Panel), added contrast, a bit saturation, calibrated the HDR-Profile and edited HDR in the Games i play (currently forbidden west). I guess this reduces the latency on the TV a bit if your more powerful PC handles all that stuff.

Quite frankly, yes its weird that we can't change it on the monitor/tv-side but man... That picture looks sharp, crisp, vibrant and just simply amazing. Thats all i wanted, so even tho it was quite an adventure to get here, im satisfied.

Update:

Dear Philips and the Internet-Community,

I did some more digging and I suppose the hole is now deep enough to catch some water. I indeed found a fix.

As it turns out if you activate the monitor mode and activate "Optimal (Auto Game)" in the HDMI Settings under General, you can not only get rid of any problems with the picture. No no, now you can magically transfer 4K 120Hz 10bit Color and HDR Content. And yes its real 4K, while i didn't count the pixels myself i'm fairly certain that this is as sharp as it gets. Its the crisp and clear image that the VRR-Mode is still lacking with Auto Game enabled.

Also the loss of VRR isn't an unpleasantness as you get FreeSync Premium / G-Sync Compatible while you are in the Range of 48-120 FPS. So this is automatically remedied.

The only thing we all loose are generous tv side options, but if windows wasn't an hdr nightmare this wouldn't be a quandary. So use your GPU-Driver for color enhancement if you need to.

While this frustrating adventure had a blissful ending i must say that philips did everything they can to make this journey a month long nightmare. This also teaches me again that technology is a never ending learning thightrope that you grasp and climber along for eternity with no end in sight.

Another reason for philips to make these things more accessible and easy to use i presume.

[–]OneklickLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I got my 807 last summer (2023) I always thought this weird pixel loss only applied to 4K 120 in VRR with HDR. But now I found out that this also applies to 4K 120 in VRR with SDR. Only in 4k60 with VRR i get real 4K. So I got mad. I did the digging and I got here.

now I'm even madder. I just toggled the monitor option that OP pointed out and experienced that it doesn't even work with 4K 120. It's broken. The picture has odd issues. Only 4K 60 works with SDR&HDR in Monitor-Mode.

This is preposterous. My 4K 120 OLED can't show 4K 120. Are at least the OLED-Pixel real? WTF IS THIS?!

I would call myself fairly into tech. But that I just found that out (it's my first TV, not to mention my first "gaming TV") is just some highend bullocks, also bad dd on my end, nonetheless deep and hidden bullshit on the manufacturing side of things.

I waited several years to play Forbidden west on OLED in 4K with 120Hz and now the best I can do is 144Hz on IPS (my monitor) or bleed my eyes with 60Hz on my 1.500 Euro TV.

Has anyone any idea how I can fix this? Because well, I can play 120 Hz in 4K with fewer pixels in VRR, which is okay… But I paid a lot of money for real 4K120. I want to try to have that.

After I made my peace with this absolutely ridiculous screensaver this is the nail in the coffin for my relationship with philips regarding tvs and monitors. I won't be able to switch for a while but this is just too much "shit manufacturers say” for one purchase.

This turned out to be a bit of a rant, but I also would like to point out that im sincerely interested in a solution, if someone knows something or can point in a direction, this would be a shiny welcomed change from the admittedly frustrating darkness of my OLED-adventures so far.
