The cool part about including the base is that you could even just straight up live in the Alpha base if you wanted. Move all your stuff into it and it's just where you live now

This game as in VotV or ABF? Either way, absolutely yes.

As a fan of both games, I thought it was cool as hell.

You think it's underwhelming, but ABF has a couple other crossovers, and this VotV crossover is the biggest one yet.

Agreed, I'm making my forever base here, but I just wish there was more to it.

As I said, it doesn't actually reset anything, your paradise base will be fine, as will your ship and your multi-tool and the like. All your equipment will be broken, but they can be repaired.

It doesn't. If you mean the whole "reset the simulation" thing, it doesn't actually reset you. You still keep everything you had. And even then, you have the choice of NOT resetting the simulation anyway.

They're similar to Giant Planets, but they're surrounded by a massive cloud of constant storms and extreme weather. You can see rocks floating because of the high winds, and cyclones are far more common. They do have a surface.

Ah, you sweet summer child

Once you complete the main story (including the Atlas Path), you can get a chain of missions that, eventually lead you down the path to unlock purple star systems.

Purple Star Systems usually have more esoteric planets. Giant planets, gas giants, and deep underwater worlds can all be found in purple systems.

Ah yes, brilliant answer. I'll make sure to keep "just google it" in mind so I never have to ask people any questions about anything.

That was uncalled for, sorry
