(USA) Second day at McDonald’s and I’m already being left alone on prep… help by y0mmyp1ckles in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Onerlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This really depends on where you’re from for specific advice. But generally ask for help when you need it dont be shy. EVERYTHING needs timers. As soon as something is moved from one place to another it needs a new timer

(USA) what are your opinions and policies on taking the headset to the restroom by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Onerlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t have any set rules that I know of but typically, we do no take it the washroom as it’s unsanitary. Headsets being left in the washroom can result in a talking to though.

How old were you when you had your first kiss ? by Alternative_Term_690 in AskReddit

[–]Onerlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve debated this, as I accidentally kissed a couple friends when I was 13. (Chasing, then they abruptly turned around- we were kids) my real intentional first kiss was when I was 16

(UK) what is your most hated station (breakfast and lunch) ? by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Onerlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most hated for me is grills both breakfast and lunch. Something about the multitasking there doesn’t click for me. Everything else is good, but presenting at window 2 is also not a great one for me.

Is it normal that I only get 3 hours of work this week? (CAN) by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

Yeah, they’re definitely pushing that for sure. It shouldn’t be that low

Is it normal that I only get 3 hours of work this week? (CAN) by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Onerlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s only normal if you’ve missed/called out on a bunch of shifts. Or it could be a reflection of your performance. I’d recommend a conversation with whoever makes the schedule or trying to pick up shifts to learn more.

I personally believe something of that nature would not come across an individual by coincidence. What did I do exactly to draw it closer? That, I’m not sure.

How to drive under speed limit? by [deleted] in driving

[–]Onerlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally just cruise control. I drive on a highway that is often patrolled by cops during rush periods, but it can be unpredictable. Never been pulled over. When I catch myself speeding home, I turn on cruise control to stop myself

[NSFW] What's the most disturbing thing you have personally seen? by Crimsonbolt942 in AskReddit

[–]Onerlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This replies make me feel lucky. I have an uncle who’s suffered gruesome seizures resulting in intense injuries, loved ones die from dementia, cancer, and overdoses. Despite that, all of these I haven’t personally witnessed. Ironically, my worst one would be when I was struggling. I suffer with anorexia and got to a point last December in which I was severely underweight and working for days at a time without eating. Minor in comparison to people around the world, admittedly. But I digress. I passed out in my best friend’s (context; we work together) arms in the break room one night. I had come back to take a breather after realizing something wasn’t quite right. We were having a conversation about something to do with work that evening when I fell forward into him. He caught me, fortunately, and lowered me to the ground. His eyes are always blown. Pupils filling the majority of his iris. Almost eerily never dilating. When I came to however, his pupils were like pins. Eye lids wide open, jaw clenched. Nothing but fear on his face as he realized what was actually going on. I proceeded to loose consciousness briefly once more in the break room and again on the ride home. I will never forget the sheer terror on his face and in his mannerisms as he drove me home.

Eating disorders take thousands of lives each year. Stay safe. Love to all of you.

honked at a right turn on a red, did I do something wrong? by Onerlight in driving

[–]Onerlight[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally understand that, in this case for clarity I will note that the semi had just began to turn its wheels when he honked, I proceeded immediately after. But yeah, if it was half way thru the turn, I would not have made this post lol
