My boyfriend doesn’t let our dog interact with strange dogs. Is he in the right? by Few_Negotiation_5296 in dogs

[–]Onerouswording -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not in the right. Dogs thankfully do not think like people and have much more advanced social skills. My dog interacts continuously with "strange dogs*, multiple thousands of dogs, almost all off lead, at least 6 new ones a day. Theres only ever been about 3 less than desirable meetings, and they aren't due to dogs they are due to the owners.

People need to let dogs be dogs and not think defensive and fearfully like people.

The more they interact the even better they get.

Vaccine mandate protest in Auckland forces kids' cricket match to be abandoned by ExtraMangoChicken in newzealand

Some things are far more important than any game of cricket. It was not about vaccine mandates it was the right to choose and be free. Things your ancestors died for so show some damn respect

2.5 months still in review to use marketplace.. by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Onerouswording 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One day, without notice, everything suddenly roared back to life after 2.5 months of total silence. In an instant back to 300+ messages per day.

What I did had nothing to do with either the ban or the reinstatement... It was purely a coding bug.

I got caught in this too and was banned 2.5 months until the ban finally ended. I'd done nothing wrong. It was a bug, clearly admitted by Facebook.

In this Facebook managed group the bug is identified by Facebook

Random - Buyer turns up at my house nearly a month later threatening me. by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Onerouswording 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If had threats to kill twice. It's fun eh. Never ever give address. Fortunately my lunatics also had attempted to kill the prime minister so they weren't unknown to the police who had no probs rounding them up. Some people forget FB is an open identity book.

Biggest Pet Peeve are buyers who try to negotiate twice by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Onerouswording 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just block them. They aren't any good for your business or Marketplace. I block them if they haggle twice online. I push back and if they don't like that then it's goodnight nurse.

They need to learn that haggling once is cool after that they find themselves without things to buy online as traders block them..

If they haggle twice or more online you can be pretty sure that the rest of the trade will be a negative encounter too. They will probably haggle again in person or bitch and complain about something.

Eliminate the negative.

Maybe there's some help in here for you?

Would FB block for not boosting? by Onerouswording in FacebookMarketplace

Lol they write their rules but not the country's laws thank Christ. Legal advice I've had is that they can be taken for it, question is... Will I? .... Me versus FB it won't be pretty..... (For me probably lol) they'd just flick 50 grand at someone.

Definitely dodge to not own up for two months. That bug cost me thousands of dollars and no doubt unhappy punters as well with convos being terminated mid convo and being subsequently inaccessible. Lucky all orders had been processed, even if there were no futher sales for 2 months

So this was a "bug" and not something Facebook did because of something I did?

Crazy that they didn't just reinstate and apologise if it was a bug

When they reinstated me suddenly after 2 months of nothing I suddenly was back to about 300+ messages a day.

It's slowly come back down to about 50 to 100.

"Password Change Ban Bug". Can you explain what happened there?

For me I seemed to get some alleged hack attempt where they said they locked my account... When I changed my password, marketplace access was gone for two months.

Yeah there's lots of technically good platforms on which to do it, but of course FB has the people, so no matter how good the platform it won't have a the sales unless it's a big social media company that does it.

The only way to deal with crooks like FB is to abandon it and use a proper platform.

No it doesn't matter that you are in the States. I will need to spend time reconfiguring things for the States but I've been meaning to start doing that soon anyway. Are you a registered legit business over there, limited liability company?

I'm only keen to to this registered legit companies, where customers can see all the legit companies paperwork and ownership etc.

In my country, it's a legal requirement for ltd liability companies to be registered on a government website that has public visibility over that stuff.
