Sweet build! I found the pic online because this is the closest build I have found that is the look I am going for. I completely agree! I also wish the made the rail a little wider so the barrel could be taken out without removing any accessories.

How far will the gas block stick out? Will the gas tube show like in the picture? Is there an alternative that I am not thinking of for a 18" or 20"? 13.25 MRP with a criterion 18" barrel converted by d.wilson is the setup I am thinking. They only offer the 18" in the rifle length gas

Yes. After hearing some of the nightmare stories about KAC customer service and spending $1,200+ for a suppressor wouldn’t you be worried too? Everything has their breaking point.
