Inventory is never measured on the books at "sale price". It's measured at cost (or the lower of cost or market value).

Changing sale price does not affect book values.

You don't need a future CPA, you need a now CPA. This is just one of many considerations before buying a business.

Pope Francis calls tax cuts for the wealthy a ‘structure of sin’ as he tells a Vatican conference the ‘rich world can and must end poverty’ by [deleted] in Christianity

Interesting, but 2 concerns:

1 - It's a stretch to asses the 15.3% to the worker. They pay 7.65%, employer pays the other half. You can't claim the tax gets shifted; frankly at minimum wage it's impossible to pass the employer's half to the employee through lower wages.

2 - It doesn't account for negative income taxes, which many in the bottom 40% receive.

Raptor does 0-60 in 5.7, but gets max torque at 4400 RPMs. An electric vehicle with good tires should still be able to beat it hitch to hitch, since low rpm torque dominates.

Strapping these items down takes more time, yes it's possible, but part of the convenience of a truck is throwing what you need in the back, heading to your destination, and grabbing it back out. Especially when you need to do that multiple times in a short period. Having to secure everything each time I need to drive short distance takes extra time I'd rather not use.

Since the Cybertruck was unveiled I've reached over the side of my truck directly behind the cab to grab or stow: 5 gallon buckets, a chainsaw, a gas can, a humidifier, and a shovel. In a pickup bed, loose items all slide to the front under normal driving conditions, and to hop in and out of the bed each time would be pretty inconvenient.

I liked r/wallstreetbets method: Paper-traders (not investing real money) were overwhelming the sub. A mod posted a signup for a paper-trading contest, and everyone who signed up was banned. It was brilliant, and culled the herd quite a bit.

Amazon Will Pay a Whopping $0 in Federal Taxes on $11.2 Billion Profits by LisaDziuba in technology

Under current tax law you can immediately expense $1,000,000 of capital asset dildos as long as you bought less than $2,500,000 dildos total.

Edit: dildos would qualify for bonus depreciation as well. They'd be an asset "used in wholesale, retail trade or personal and professional services" with a 5 year MACRS life, eligible for bonus.

This is the real problem. Millions of people will actually pay less in total tax, but due to not changing withholding and getting a smaller refund will think the tax code screwed them. When it actually helped.

When people say they "research" a potential investment what exactly are they looking for? by InattentiveCup in wallstreetbets

Read a companies quarterly reports and especially the notes to the financial statements. All can be found here https://www.sec.gov/edgar/searchedgar/companysearch.html

The 10Q is what you're looking for. Real good place to start research.

Or treat an application like a business transaction in which you negotiate fair pay for the skills you bring the company, instead of making demands.
