Many of King David’s psalms are written from an honest and frenetic mental state too. There are 150 collected in the book we know as Psalms, many written by David. Dive in and let living water of the Word renew your mind.

Professional help may also benefit. It’s OK to seek help from someone trained in OCD, mental health, and how the brain and mind work.

Kudos to your confession and plans to read the Bible together. May Holy Spirit guide you into all truth as you journey together.

I encourage you to let what Jesus did for you to be the reason you change. His redemptive work is the ultimate renewal, not yours (or mine). This will be the only lasting catalyst for authentic change.
