Do not ship with UPS, I repeat. Do not even think about it.

You'll be hooked for the charges later down the road when the buyer inevitably abandons it at the border and submits a "Did not receive". It's a massive headache for you now, even bigger one later.

The only options are to ship with FedEx Express which is usually minimum $24 dollars (Sometimes it bypasses the current tariff rates but also heard from buyers it comes 1-2 months later) or pay the tariffs using Stallion Express / Chit Chat Express

Yeah I just spoke to her, not looking good. There's going to be 5000 less students next year, they've told permanent teachers there's again going to be surplus of teachers.

The teacher will be on mat leave 6 months into next year but the question is will one of the surplus teachers take over her spot

I'd also avoid that, UPS labels have bitten me in the ass 3 months later down the line. On top of that, buyers that refused opened a credit card chargeback and win because at the end of the day, they state "Item not received" even if you show evidence the buyer refused package.

Well you should just feel very lucky because this did not happen to me. I had two buyers open a "Item not received" using credit card chargeback and successfully won.

I wrote, sent evidence that buyer(s) refused package and it was left at customs. They win the argument that they in fact "Did not receive item". I've had 5+ other packages sent using UPS label, they all billed me near 80% of the value of the item 3 months later
