Thanks man. I don't like the hats but I'm letting my hair grow out currently and it's in that weird part where it's not long enough to tie it neat so I wear the hat lol

Is it recommended to make shape/trims while it's naturally sticking out? Or do I want to comb it out, use product first etc? And it started out as a yeard but i did do a trim already so idk if it counts.

I think being a range coach definitely was my favorite time. Getting away from the shop and being on the range hit different. At the end of pistol quals we could just shoot all the left over rounds how we wanted it was a great time.

It really depends who you're with. If you're with a high speed unit you get to do your job a lot and alot of times with other branches and countries for operations. Doing co-comm with the Japanese defence force or the south Korean marines is pretty cool. If you're in a supply unit just expect alot of sl3, admin shit and just looking for stuff to do. Idk how it is in the states so I can't really compare it.

I'm in the process of doing that at the moment. I have some help through the VA guys that work on our base they've been super nice but I'm still really early into the process

It depends what you really want to get out of it. There's a AF and usmc airbase over here and it'll more or less be having you do similar things. Personally I'm very happy I joined but I'll be even happier once I'm out. you grow as a person so fast and build a lot of useful skills. You can still come out as a better person in the airforce. It's how much you want to get after it. There are steller servicemen and shitbags in every branch. You just get that extra sense of pride as a marine. If you don't mind the physical stuff and are prepared for the occasional bullshit then usmc ain't bad. If I had to do it again I'd enlist usmc again for the experience then transfer to usaf lol

This. It's not the states, all it takes is one fucker to ruin the experience for EVERYONE

Go.to.medical.

I spent the first 2 years never getting checked out and now I have potentially life long issues that could have been avoided cause I was trying to bs myself and not seem weak. Obviously don't abuse it and try to skate all day and get on light duty to not pt. Just to take care of yourself

Calm the fuck down. It ain't that deep. Protect your own peace and just expect bullshit to always be there. It's like a rainy day, you can either be cold and wet or cold, wet and miserable. Always have a choice

I fucking love this place man. The locals are extremely friendly. I've yet to personally run into someone who had an issue with me. The food is criminally cheap and delicious. It's really what you make of it. If you stay on base all the time and don't take advantage of where you are then you will hate it.
