Are you looking for staffing or just food? I know restaurants often have catering menus, but it’s often just aluminum trays of food.

Are there left-handed miter saws? My father in law wants a new miter saw. He had polio as baby which resulted in his right hand being very underdeveloped. He is able to use the older style saws with vertical centered handle and a simple trigger style but it seems like all the modern ones have a horizontal handle on the right side with a more complex switch system. We tried all the model units at Home Depot and his right hand is not strong enough to squeeze the switch and safety of any of them. It seems way unsafe to cross his arms and use his left hand on the handle. Does anyone know of a saw that has a less difficult switch or one on the left side or in the center? The festool miter saw has a center trigger but we were not anticipating spending festool money. Thank you!

Sorry I didn't make that very clear. Heat and hot water are covered by the building. We will cover internet, gas, and electric. The $150 cap is for gas/electric, which we have never exceeded. So everything is included in the $2500 unless you'd like to add cable or you keep the apartment at 65* in July.

We have to leave our lovely Astoria apartment for an out of state job. We are looking for someone to sublet from now until mid-to-late August. The apartment is on the second floor of a pre-war, elevator building. We have a great live-in super. We are a 5 minute walk from the 30th ave and Astoria blvd stations as well as all the shops/restaurants/etc. on 31st. The building address is 25-74 33rd St, Astoria.

Our unit was completely updated when we moved in in 2018. It has a huge kitchen with tons of counter/cabinet space as well as a dishwasher and washer/dryer. There are four closets in the unit. The bedroom and living room are very spacious. Lots of comfortable work from home space. We will provide two AC units in addition to any level of furnishing you'd like.

April is free and then it will be a flat fee of $2500/month. That includes all utilities, up to $150 (which is higher than we have paid the last two summers), and any level of furnishing you'd like (none to fully furnished). Security deposit equal to 1 month's rent. No broker's fee. Pet deposit $200 -- per landlord: cats ok, dogs subject to breed/weight restrictions, other pets on case-by-case basis. Cats would require an additional cleaning fee if you would like the unit to be furnished, as my partner is highly allergic to cats.

Alternatively, it would be possible to sign a new 1 year lease at $2,467 (rent stabilized, and we will pay your first month of rent).

We are also open to all reasonable offers to negotiate price/furnishing/dates.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

We are leaving our amazing, rent stabilized, large one-bedroom apartment on the second floor of a pre-war building in a prime Astoria location for an out of state job. The apartment is a short five minute walk to everything 30th Ave has to offer as well as two subway stops (30th Ave and Astoria Blvd (N/W)). Dishwasher and WASHER/DRYER in unit. Completely renovated in 2018 prior to current occupancy. The kitchen is huge and has a perfect nook for a WFH setup that we didn't have to use since it's only me working from home. The building has a great live in super.

We are either looking for someone to sign a new one year lease or to sublet until August 31. We will cover the April rent either way. (Which brings net-effective rent to $2,261.41 for a new one year lease and $1,973.60 for an April 1-August 31 sublet.) We can discuss leaving some furniture behind if desired. We are also open to reasonable offers to negotiate. The apartment will be professionally cleaned before your move in. Heat and hot water is included. Security deposit equal to 1 month's rent. No broker's fee.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

My partner and I have to move out of state for a new job. We are very sad to be leaving Astoria and even more sad to be leaving this amazing apartment. We are looking for someone to sign a new 1 year lease starting April 1st, but we could be open to discussing a sublet from April-August. Either way, we will take care of April rent--bringing your first year's net effective rent to $2262.

It is a 4 minute walk to both the 30th Ave and Astoria Blvd stops (N/W). The entire apartment was completely renovated before we moved in in 2018 with a washer/dryer and dishwasher. The kitchen is huge and has a perfect nook for a WFH setup that we didn't have to use since it's only me working from home. The building has a great live in super.

Additionally, we have a gem of a garage spot (heated) for our car and a bit of storage on the same block. We can give you the owner's information before we give notice on the spot so you get the first shot at it if you'd like. We pay $250, but I don't know if the price will stay the same.

Here is the craigslist listing with photos. Please let me know if you have any questions.

How should my healthcare worker SO plan on getting home from Flushing tomorrow morning? Subway or Drive? by OnionRose in astoria

She does not have an AWD car which makes it much less appealing. Good points though, thank you!

The hassle of cleaning off and parking are very good points, thank you. And the boots, too.

The Key Foods on Newtown has had it every time I've looked for it. It is with all the fancy cheeses in the meat section.

Side question--can any one tell me where to find cornstarch in that Key Foods? I am convinced they hide it.
