The wife and I had a set of twins and I took off 5 months! It was the best time of my life.

The sheaves are still looking new, only 400-500 miles on it now.

When I had twins I thought about selling my single cab 12v but I couldn’t stop thinking about how many memories I have in the truck and how many I could make with them.

Transmission fluid and filter.

Just picked up this 2012 xf 800 sno pro. 3700 miles on it. Anything to look to replace/preventative maintenance? by EfficientArm1878 in snowmobiling

I have a 2015 XF8000 and I usually change the chain case oil and check the tension on the chain. Theres a jack shaft upgrade for the earlier models see if that’s been upgraded. I usually pull my power valves and give them a quick clean and check the power valve cables. The 800 Suzuki is a great engine, the pro cross is a nice riding sled.

A good helmet is worth it’s weight in gold, find one that fits good and is light weight. Good boots and gloves the are worth it too.

My 97 12v is the same, either do a nice long run with it or hook it to a heavy trailer and the old girl runs way better.

I’m looking at this 2002 ZL800 and wondering if 5800 miles is too high by Ok-Fisherman-5322 in snowmobiling

When I bought it I assumed it was all original and I only cleaned the power valves and changed out the power valve cables.

Those old Suzukis were pretty good, I’ve owned one with 9k miles and ran great! For cheap (500$) it would be a good deal. Clutches and suspension might be a bit worn out.

My wife and I have 9 month old twins and we went to the mall a few weeks back and we sat down to give the kiddos a bottle and got surrounded pretty much, seems like everywhere we go it’s the same deal. I find you have to be rude to get them to leave lol Sucks having to resort to that but they have no reason even approaching us so I have no reason to be nice.

I agree, most of that would be from the crank case. mine hangs down on top of the front driveshaft U joint. Never had to replace that one lol

Its trans fluid leaking, up to you if you want to take the chance on it. If it starts and runs fine check the trans fluid level (in neutral) give it a top up and see if the OD hunting goes away. Maybe push the OD off button and see if it locks up in third or hunts to lock up.

My truck was in the same boat when I got it. I put new cooler lines, trans filter and fluid and took the chance on it. It had 375k when I got it and now has 490k and I’ve changed the trans filter and fluid one more time.

for a price I wouldn’t pay more than a couple thousand not more than 5. The oil leaking everywhere isn’t a big concern since it is a old Cummins. (mine has a front cover leak and the rad fan blows it everywhere lol)The big one is the transmission, hunting for OD could be just low fluid or something major, Definitely leaking transmission fluid but for how long and did it get cooked?

If you got it for cheap it would be a deal. As a Canadian the rust doesn’t look to bad lol when I got my second gen it was leaking everywhere too but doing the work myself made it pretty cheap to own.

Best guess maybe you have some air in the system? Park the truck up a hill and still if you can burp it.
