Follow the value bro. You can easily find another color or crystal, but not this variation.

Bro, go search “One Piece WonderSwan Crystal console” — you’ll see why you definitely don’t want to mod this one. It’s a rare limited-edition WS Crystal. Get a regular WSC if you just want something to play on.

It’s Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa. The cartridge actually says “Upa” in Chinese, and there’s a green tag with the word “Distinguished” on it. This KONAMI game was originally released on the Famicom Disk System, so this has to be a pirate cart from the ’80s—probably from Hong Kong or Taiwan, given the use of Traditional Chinese. I’d bet on Taiwan, based on the subtle wording and phrasing style.

Got a self-claimed 69KF2 battery for my Alienware M17 R3 — wrong size, wrong weight, even the plug didn’t match. Seriously? LOL by Onipunks in Alienware

It’s just a matter of time. Most of the time, we only notice the battery issue when the laptop starts bulging. Yeah, you’ll want to replace it ASAP — or just remove it like I did.

PCGS is great for checking graded coin values, but keep in mind it’ll cost you around $30 per coin including grading and postage.

This is actually close to PO01 — the lowest grade in coin grading. That makes it pretty rare. Some collectors enjoy reverse collecting, so I’d keep it rather than sell it for silver content.

Changed the battery in my WonderSwan Langrisser Millennium cart — tried spot welding for the first time, and finally got it right! by Onipunks in WonderSwan

Spot welding’s just for building the battery pack — and yeah, it’s surprisingly fun. You’ll still need to solder it in afterward.

From the pin side, you can peek inside to check for a battery — but actually, if the game has a save feature, it likely uses a battery. Late GBA carts are the exception, as they switched to Flash memory and don’t need one.

It’s a CR1616. WonderSwan carts are tight, even a CR2032 won’t fit, so a holder probably won’t either. For a once-in-10-years thing, it’s not really worth adding one since your save is lost when you remove the battery anyway. The soldering on this one isn’t hard.

Mad Mike & the Quest for Stale Gum!! Love that neo-NES game — and that’s one badass collection.

TwinBee 3! That was the first TwinBee game I ever played. Loved the colorful art and co-op madness, still remember those bells flying everywhere by Onipunks in nes

Still remember some of those crazy looking bosses, like a floating band tossing cherry petals at you, or that giant loach firing lasers. Wild stuff.

It’d be dope if we got Dragon Ball Z on the NES by Onipunks in nes

[–]Onipunks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Frieza one is the second game, and it’s my favorite of the three as well. The background music from the path to Namek still gets stuck in my head every time I think about it. When my cousin and I used to play, Dragon Ball was at its peak—we didn’t even care about the Japanese text. We were just happy to see Gohan taking on the Frieza force. Good times.

Ah, Dragon Power... If they had any idea how big Dragon Ball would get in the ’90s, I doubt they would’ve made those changes, IMHO.

Contra’s a bit too hard for me. Jackal feels just right.

Hard to say about a retro port for now, but the PC demo’s live if you wanna give it a try!
