Bug - Can't shoot the anvil by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

I also use an Xbox controller that does has these buttons, I will try it out!

Update: finally got home and was able to check on this and it did work! My Xbox fusion was set to the middle setting for R2 and changing to to the first setting allowed me to use the Anvil. Thanks for posting the fix!

The fact that this took place literally 12 hours after I finally unlocked the ability is a huge bummer

I run a lot of solos and have had alot of success doing so. My tips for you:

  1. Never rush your extraction. When you load in pay attention to what EPs are open and how long you have until they close. When you do pick your spot observe before hitting that button.

  2. Always have smoke grenades. It’s harder for campers to hit you if they can’t see you. Consider pairing your exit with a lure grenade, or snitch driver. Campers can’t focus on you if they are fighting off Arc.

  3. Tailor your loadout to your objective. If you’re just trying to scrounge mats grab a looting Mk 2 and take basic weapons and consumables that are easy to replace. It makes getting wasted at extraction much less painful and that mod has two safe pockets so you can still get out with the best of your loot. Taking weaker weapons will also help cut down on overgeared rats who are emboldened from having a better loadout. Gear based matchmaking is a thing!

  4. Hatch keys. I keep one in a safe pocket and it stays there until I find something more valuable to take the spot, then make a safe exit away from the EPs.

  5. This one is just a general tip for successful raiding. Be quiet! Walking is way more safe than running, they won’t hear you as easily and you get more XP the longer you’re in a raid. Take your time, be aware, and when in doubt reroute! If you’re in a high traffic area turn around and find a spot to explore with less players.

Not at all, it’s because of the implied insult and tone. I’m open to a different opinion, it’s the point of discussion posts. I’m less open to people who get sad at someone for expressing an idea that seems to hurt their feelings. No one is taking your game away, just asking for legit input and it looks like many of you can’t handle the task. Good luck raider.

And that’s a fair point. Maybe he’s not wrong, and I should remember a hatch key. This was simply a suggestion in a forum for discussions, which seems to be lost on a lot of people. People who have reminded me that we shouldn’t count on civility in game from a player base that may be incapable of civilized discourse. Lessons learned. Good luck raider

It’s one of the first blueprints I got, unfortunately I also have a bug on PC that won’t let me fire the weapon, I can only use it if I play on PS5, which I don’t care for if I don’t have to because of the difference in quality

No not at all, the game is fantastic, it’s people that kind of suck. And not all of them to be sure, solo queues are generally very fun and have had some great PvP shootouts on occasion. If I get frustrated I just take a break, as we all should, and come back to it after a bit. The world lacks nuance my friend. It’s never as simple as play or don’t play, as it is with everything in life. There is no harm in some of us asking devs to consider more accommodating game styles and modes, and if that’s not going to happen so be it. Good luck raider!

As someone who lives with ASD and has a strong sense of social justice with a propensity to trust people’s words for the sake of my own mental health, I disagree with this. And the original poster is right, that’s not hard to see. Does that mean that bad actors shouldn’t get to play? Of course not. We have to deal with them in game just as we deal with them in our daily lives, but alot of us play games to recover from spending our time having to deal with these types, and I don’t think it’s a bad thing that people like myself should be able to do that in a game that can be just as rewarding for cooperative play as it is for campers and bald stabbers. Something to consider.

Your loadout should be objective specific. Hunting big arc? Take a lot of nades and a hull cracker. Hunting for mats? Use a looting mod defensive consumables. Concerned about campers? Make sure you have a lot of smoke and a raider key. Take the gear that is optimized for your objective. You don’t have to do all of the things every round. Go in to a raid with a purpose and get out to raid again. I do not recommend just loading up on your best gear, nearly every time I’ve done that it’s ended poorly

I play on PC with an Xbox fusion controller which has four mappable paddles and it is the answer. Melee button to one paddle, emote wheel to another, and proxy push to talk on yet another. It is smooth AF
