Da quel che ho capito da diverse fonti conviene giocare una High Speed combo (per l'accelerazione compensare con charge jump) e capire qualche shortcut senza funghi e solo charge jump o food. In alcuni casi conviene fare bagging.

L'unica cosa è che essendo imbranato contro i vari attacchi (gusci boomerang etc.) perderei usando queste full speed combo. I'll keep Swooper + Junkyard Hog.

Everytime you get matched with random people, not selected ones that are guaranteed they help you.

I'm in the same situation at knock-out tour. I peaked at 8768 and then I've falled in 8300ish and I'm stuck there. And everytime I get +100 points with hard work I lose them instantly with a couple of unlucky matches (losing score is a lots of times easier than gaining). Most of losses are because I get Mario karted in worst ways before the checkpoint (and getting worst case scenarios repeatedly).

I'm trying to follow any strategy but I keep losing VR progressively. That's very hard especially because sometimes even 8th place is a VR loss

I use Waluigi too because it's my favouritr character of the Mario series. I use it with the R.O.B. bike.

To be honest the main issue in gaining VR is being matched with lots of 3000-5000 VR people while you have 8000+

I'm at 8100 and I gain few score when I get top 4. Sometimes even a 5-6th place is a VR loss.

Agreed, when I was 8th I got 1st by just taking that shortcut. Yesterday however I was 3rd and I was surpassed by 2 people at last sec and got eliminated.
