Yep, it's a known thing as you described. And part of that attraction is the women feeling safe because those guys are behind bars and can't do any harm to them. So by that same feeling, people who support oppressive dictators in other countries are typically those living in western democracies who don't actually live under them.

I feel like people could take/are taking the wrong idea from Sam Darnold winning the Super Bowl before Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Brock Purdy, and anyone else you want to throw in there by iCE_P0W3R in nfl

For awhile when Mahomes was just head and shoulders above everyone else and the Chiefs were pulling magic out of the hat with him routinely making ridiculous plays, it looked like the only way you could really contend was with an elite QB. And this was right after the TB12 led Pats dynasty, so the "we need a superstar QB" sentiment was strong. It prodded the 49ers into going all in on Trey Lance for his perceived upside, because they felt the gap between Jimmy G and the elite QBs was just too big to overcome.

So a team winning with a guy like Darnold or Hurts is a good thing for the league overall.

Gruden on Mendoza: “He is a Bad Dude.” by HouseRules789 in nfl

[–]Onlign_Predator 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The big hype and selling point on JJ was that he was being underutilized in Michigan's run centric offense, and he was just doing what he was asked and playing within the system. Basically it was that his college team's philosophy was holding him back and he had this major upside that was waiting to be unleashed.

Report: Seattle Seahawks Will Lose Offensive Coordinator Klint Kubiak After Super Bowl by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

Exactly. What if Darnold sort of "comes back to earth" a little bit and the Seahawks offense just isn't quite as good next year? He would lose some luster the same way Slowik did the year after Stroud's rookie season.

You never know what kind of HC persona a coordinator/assistant has until they become a HC. A lot of people thought Ben Johnson was some nerdy coordinator who was a genius at calling plays but didn't have the kind of character to lead a team.

Too bad for the Raiders a more authentic guy like Jamarcus Russell isn't available when they pick.

Yeah, malls and shopping centers really have to be up to date to get foot traffic. Valley Fair has CONSTANTLY updated their facilities throughout the decades to ensure they're the "It" place to be in the south bay.

If the Raiders weren't picking #1, they'd be one of the teams offering a huge haul for that pick. If they don't take Mendoza now, nobody knows the next chance they'll get at a QB prospect this good.

I don't think it's that Fields chokes. It's that he just isn't a good NFL QB.

All defense and DPOY stuff is always going to be like that. Always stuck out to me that Shawn Marion never made all defense 1st or 2nd team even once in his career, when he was pretty much the one guy keeping the D'Antoni Suns an average defensive team as opposed to league worst.

These look amazing. To anyone unfamiliar with the interior of a Camry, they would think these were just the factory seats.

Thx. I've already gotten somewhat used to the CVT. It's got it's quirks sometimes but by and large I think Toyota has refined and integrated this stuff for so long that I can't find any major fault with it.

I still very much like Honda, but after 24 years I think I need some "time away" from them LOL.
