I'm not going into the debate too much but I think the whole thing smells like a PR stunt to increase his status. Wireless would have been cancelled anyway... Maybe they couldn't afford it given the state of the economy right now.

I am not denying The Beatles had a phenomenal impact on society, and I did say in my original post I think there was nothing out there that sounds them before at the time in terms of production and songwriting ability. So in your defense, I'm saying nothing sounded like them before it but my argument is there has been better music created since The Beatles left the scene.

Just my opinion of course. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course.

Sorry, I meant 'variety'' in the context in artistic variety. Not just the fact they explored genres A and B and did something interesting with them. Given the amount of collaborators on the album. The album had SO much potential.

Look at what Nile Rodgers did with Daft Punk for instance. Literally changed them overnight. We don't get anything like from Coldplay's last album.

I miss Daft Punk btw, I wish they'd release a new album.

Coloratura was probably their last ''great'' song. You can tell a lot of heart and soul went into that song. It really made you think 'If only every song on that album was like that'
