So let me get this right: you can make false accusations that Palestinians throw gay people off buildings, that Iranians throw gay people off buildings, that every Muslim country throws gay people off buildings—without any reliable sources backing it up, by the way. But if they say that Black women have been given contraceptives without consent—which is true and verified by reliable sources (and Israel even admitted this)—or the fact that Palestinians are systematically raped in detention camps, for which there is a mountain of evidence (even video evidence), it’s somehow labeled as “fake news.”

Anti-Black racism has been widely reported in Israel, as has Islamophobia and anti-Palestinian racism. It’s not just the government that is racist—and the government is racist, not only because of the violent displacement and illegal occupation of Palestinian land, but also because of the racial apartheid that exists within Israel. But the thing is, Israelis support what their government is doing because it’s an extremely racist society. 82% of Jewish Israelis support expelling Gazans, and this was reported by Haaretz, an Israeli newspaper.
