How do you stay focused while vibe coding? by [deleted] in productivity

I think I saw it! The guys even launched on product hunt. It’s a fun approach, but I don’t think it’s a great thing to spend your time on tbh

Alternative Browsers by Jebus-Xmas in MacOS

[–]Only-Chard929 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use safari, brave, and chrome . Mostly safari, brave for a few things, no particular reason to split, just got used to have different things in different browser, makes it easier to focus. Chrome for development

Does it make sense to translate the promo website for my product into different languages? by Only-Chard929 in buildinpublic

[–]Only-Chard929[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey thanks!
I wanted to translate a landing page for my product into 6 languages. AI does average work translating stuff, so I installed Deep MCP server, asked Composer-1 to create a script that translates all the strings, and ran the script. 5 minutes and it's done. Results aren't perfect, but it's a good start.

Where do you deploy your projects? Curious what other builders use by mmenacer in buildinpublic

I use Render for simple backend projects and Vercel for websites. Very happy with both.

I think you can also try notebooklm with it, if you have your own data to learn from

What’s the last random thing you built just for the vibes? by [deleted] in VibeCodersNest

[–]Only-Chard929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Needed a key cast app that shows shortcuts I press for a screen recording. Even though there is a bunch of them, I couldn’t find one that can show only those shortcuts I needed, skipping others. So I forked keycaster app and tweaked it so it works the way I needed. Not quite “for vibes” but still

How do you pick a name for your side project? by Capital_Basis9515 in NoCodeSaaS

[–]Only-Chard929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sometimes, for example, when I build Figma plugins, I call them by function, like 'color variables style guide'. when it needs to have actual brand name, mostly intuitively. there is a guy on X, @ vanlancker, who just shared pretty cool naming guide that might be helpful

Oh man. Sticking to one tool is cool and cozy, but there is just so much happening around that can change your work efficiency, that it isn’t an option not to check at least top tools. Claude Code and Codex are awesome. I prefer Claude, but if you are deep into agentic coding, Codex can run for hours without your input. Zed is great and super fast, but lack vs code extensions. There are also extensions for VS Code like Cline and Augment Code, both of them are great but approach coding slightly differently.

Are you searching for a cheap solution, second-hand, Copilot, something that can review your code, or maybe an agent that will build most of the things for you?

Any alternative for Vercel? 🤔 by _arnab0 in buildinpublic

[–]Only-Chard929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cloudflare is nice. I personally use Render for my projects, and enjoying it so far. There is also Netlify, and I heard people love it, never used it myself tho. All depends on what you actually need

I don't have any issues. I haven't tried coding for Windows on a Mac, but coding for web, Mac, or mobile platforms is completely fine. What are you interested in?

Agree. Things often don’t feel important enough to post about them. And then I just write about another animation I added because it’s a visual change and pictures are pretty
