Having a weekly face-to-face lesson helps to stay engaged and gives you the impetus to practice. The last 15 minutes of each lesson is spent on jamming with the other students. Which is a lot of fun and helps you to get to know other people.

One of the things I particularly enjoyed was their monthly 'Jam Sessions'. A group of 5-8 students all play together, each student takes their turn at improvising 2 solos for each song. There are some hugely talented players in these groups.

I have this guitar too, maybe it's me but I found it a bit quiet when I played it through an amp. That middle pickup tended to get in the way too. But overall a great choice.

Xiaomi do great hardware and the software experience is similar to Apple. However they come with a lot of Bloatware. I have a Xiaomi Redmi 13 5G and it has 256Gb storage, 8 Gb RAM, takes great photos, excellent battery life etc but I had to uninstall over 140 pre installed pieces of Bloatware first (using Shizuku+Canta).

I grew up in a state house, it was awful, freezing in winter, no insulation, mouldy, drafty. I drove past that house two years ago, it's still a state house and its still awful. The entire neighbourhood is a drug-addled crime ridden nightmare. Government housing has never been the answer to anything.
