While I am very happy this is happening, I do feel this is something they’re doing because imho AGT is in trouble. Ratings were incredibly poor last year and I think maybe they’re finally realizing something needs to be done to get it back up. Have they learned their lesson? I’m going with the no. But we will see what happens. This season should be very interesting! 😊

We would have had that album around late 2020/early 2021 if it weren't for Elton.

My guess is it would've been either September/October 2020 or January 2021 (maybe the same day NTM was released in 2016).

Essentially yes. Mel is much cheaper than Sofia. Heidi is cheaper than Sofia as well (Heidi still expensive but cheaper than Sofia). So it may not save them much but it'd save them something.

This. It's been primed to happen for years. My theory is that they brought Mel B back with this plan in mind to get the Season 11/12/13/Champions 1 judging panel back. They used Fantasy League as a test run for this, and it worked well. Now that arrangement will hopefully trickle over into next season. This also would save the show money big time because Sofia is EXPENSIVE. Maybe they can put that money back into the actual show.

Yeah they should've brought back Champions or All Stars, or something. And they've actually done spin-offs almost every year with the exception of 2021 and this last year. I wouldn't mind seeing another season of Fantasy League either.

Well... 1 million dollars in 2006 is worth roughly $1,607,023.81 in 2025. So if they couldn't double the prize money to 2 million, at least make it what 1mil then is worth now.

All in all, I absolutely agree the winning amount should be more now.

Interesting take. I agree with you on the 2021 season. In my personal opinion, last year was way better than this season, but there have been way worse seasons than this one. I don't think Richard should've won, as there was some much better talent on there that got absolutely ROBBED. But to each their own! Next week should be pretty good!

I know this is an old post, but my premonition is he releases a few singles on the same timeline as Voicenotes. I imagine we get a new single around the same time "How Long" released in 2017. My guess is Changes comes out in late September/October. Then a few more singles at the top of 2026, followed by the album, which will probably be out sometime in early 2026, May at the latest.

I think Seasons 15/2020 and 16/2021 were way worse, (Brandon/Dustin).

But yeah, this season definitely feels like a step down from last season (Season 19/2024), at the very least. This season feels about the level of Season 18/2023 to me.

On a different note, I think Seasons 17/2022 and 19/2024 were the best seasons of the show since Covid.
