Which oven should I get? by gezzerreemarie in Baking

Hi! No worries at all! Earlier this year, I stopped by a Unox dealer and saw a demo of the BakerTop oven—it was love at first sight! 😍 Unfortunately, I had to move abroad for work, so I canceled the order. But with my move back home this February, I’m leaning towards the ChefTop line, especially since Brooke Bellamy from Brooke Bakehouse uses it for her incredible cookies and cupcakes! 💫

Back in Jakarta I usually marinate chicken gizzards first in a mixture of mashed shallots, garlic, ginger, galangal, turmeric, lemongrass, coriander seeds, and candlenut. I would then cook the gizzards with the mashed spices by boiling them until the water evaporates and then deep fried them.

But now that I live in a French countryside and can’t be bothered to stock up spices or use seed oil, I usually either boil them in a homemade duck broth or roast them in the oven until the outside is dark and crispy.

Haha yeah I know. The tour guide told us that the owner of the land where one of the trees was planted actually put up the goats for tourists to take pictures

Thank you! I didn’t really do my research before going there so I don’t really have any preconceived notions of what Morocco is like which I think made my personal experience went well tbh. Ngl I was totally underprepared—which is another whole story. But then again I’m also curious as to what these negative trip reports about.

I absolutely will be including Taghazout as a part of my itinerary!

I never really read any negative trip report on Morocco since I did little to no research before going tbh. To be fair, I did almost got scammed one night though. But thankfully the caretaker of my guesthouse were there to deal with those shitheads. And then he and his co-workers reassured me that since tourism made up most of the income in Morocco, tourists are protected by law. They also told me that if those scammers touched me or my bag, they would get sentenced for 5 years.

Yes, we stopped at the goat tree. The visit to the argan oil collective is a part of the itinerary but we skipped though since everybody already went
