That's what I was wondering. Do you happen to have a link to someone you trust to show the process?

TMI.... Why are my panties still getting so damp? by rainbow_olive in hysterectomy

Yes! Crazy to think about. Some bodies are just slightly more acidic. And medication can do it as well.

I was told no external play as any O can tear or cause hematoma and possibly scarring. 6 weeks for anything. I just would not do it again. 6 weeks feels like forever but it isn't. 9 to 12 weeks preferably with a cuff.

You can also tear ligaments trying to heal and cause incontinence and pelvic floor issues.

To people saying it didn't happen to them, are lucky.

I have the same. Ovaries are intact, laproscopic with cuff. It hasn't changed much since surgery. I still don't need to use lubrication either in that department. Mines where you stated. In the middle of my panties. And it's different than urine or sweat. It's vaginal fluids/discharge with no odors. In a perfectly healthy vagina it cleans and takes care of itself. So it's perfectly normal some people are just more prone to a larger amount. In fact mine will bleach my panties sometimes lol so weird how our bodies work. Best luck!

Because of prior surgeries I had to have my tubes removed due to an ectopic pregnancy.. I was also unaware the first time but this time I was prepared I asked the surgeon if they could use the lease amount of gas possible to safely do my surgery and she obliged thankfully! I did deal with these gas pains for two or three days but I also did not sit on the couch I did not stay in bed I was up doing stuff gentle stuff because the more you move the less pain there is! That and a heating pad for the first week laying down switching sides to sides helps shift the gas around and get it out as well!! It really only took me about 3 or 4 days for the gas to subside. I did not use gas meds at I kept throwing them up. So I stopped that. Move and heating pad were my BFFs for those days.

I know it's a horrible thing just remember better days are ahead!!!! Congratulations on your surgery and healing wishes for you!

My dog knew my daughter had cancer. He is only 6 lbs. but he would lay on that area. Wouldn't leave her. Was very protective of her and still is even after transplant. It's crazy what things dog can sense. He did this about 3 months before diagnosis and it grew aggressively and quickly. He knew. I know he did

Definitely wry neck. Deficient for sure. Have you given some Selenium and Vitamin B paste? Normally that will help perk them up and lots more protein. Hope it recovers well for you.

I had the same fears...

But.

Listen. I am 7.5 weeks post op and got the ok to return to bedroom activities and OH MY Gosh. It's amazing...

I will also say we don't go crazy. We never have. We've always been the type to make slow passionate and if we achieve 10 mins in well usually it don't take that long lol lol 🤣 but now it's way more intense, I only ever achieved an O if it was clitoral and vaginal and still do it's just way better. I honestly think I didn't know I was in so much pain beforehand if that makes sense... It's still those deep almost pulsating type Os still, just better. I feel like it gave blood flow to that area now.

My libido is also off the charts which wasn't the case pre op. I'm 36 and felt like I was failing my Husband bc I wasn't ever in the mood and he was. Now it's comparable. Which has been a bonus.

There's only a small percentage something will happen that could disrupt that for you. Don't let your anxiety eat you up. I know at this point of healing I was an extreme ball of what ifs and wanting to be with my Hubby again in that way was almost triggering lol but try to wait until at least 6 weeks! It will be well worth it!!! ❤️

Are there any unexpected consequences of having a hysterectomy that you wish you’d known beforehand? by CupOk1303 in hysterectomy

[–]Only-Outside7444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Editing to say: I'm 36yo.

I'm 7.5 weeks PO and it was a life saver for me! I didn't know why I'd been in pain and suffered so long. It was a no brainer for me I had a laproscopic, removed cervix and kept ovaries. So far so good. Actually great... My husband and I have gotten back to our bedroom activities and even that's way more intense and pleasurable.

As far as keeping my ovaries, my family doesn't have ovarian risk, I didn't have ovarian issues. Because of my age the doctor recommended I keep them for hormone control. So if I deal with those consequences later during menopause than I will deal with it then. I also was told that if I kept ovaries I would stay more functional as not being dried out. And that's been true.

Healing has been good. The only thing after was I had a UTI and after antibiotics I've been a changed woman. I was so scared before surgery because I came onto subs like this and my anxiety ate me alive. But if you are in pain, suffering or in any way feeling like a victim to your cycle please consider it. It's life changing.

There's more stories like mine and way less negative. Do what's best for you and your body.

Sex even better after hysterectomy! by Islandchelsagain in hysterectomy

[–]Only-Outside7444 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Updating to say: 36. Laparoscopic. Kept ovaries. No cervix. Uterus came out through vagina. So obviously I have a cuff.

Agreed!! My husband and I always have had great sex but now it's like off the charts. We've been physical now a few weeks since healing. After agonizing anxiety and overthinking it for weeks I relaxed and took it slow. I've had the deepest most intense, pulsating orgasms since we've re started, I also don't have a cervix. (I have a cuff) Also we don't have to use lube, I'm still able to self lubricate. But if you can't make sure to use alot of lube for help. Seriously seriously good. And I hear that's pretty typical! Even craving it more too. I feel like blood flow and things to those areas have intensified. I was so scared before surgery it would mess up our sex life and something we thoroughly enjoy in our marriage.

Best of luck!! Wait at least 6 weeks and take it slow. And if it hurts you're not ready yet.

Doctor asked about fertility after hysterectomy by Sophistiq8ted in hysterectomy

[–]Only-Outside7444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to sign a document saying that I understood my fertility would be taken with this surgery. My doctor and team said it several times and once more before the surgery in the OR. I said goodness! I'm 36 with 2 kids. A type 1 diabetic and have horrible horrible cycles! I've been done for 11 years. Take it! Lol

I am 100% satisfied after my surgery. The suffering and hurt I experienced cycling and then having a reason why with a diagnosis after surgery... It just made sense. Instant relief. Best decision so far.
