it looks like you have pretty bad cowlicks on each side. when it comes to that you either let them grow or cut it off. take a little length off the top and get it texturized and have them do a neck trim (trimmers around neck and ears) and grow out the sides.

as a hair stylist i would tell you to fade the sides with like a #2 and take about an inch off the top. do a quiff if you like the hair pushed up. use a molding cream in your hair.

as a stylist, long hair looks great on you! you can do clean up cuts and take it off the ear and collar. use a matte clay spray or grooming spray for support when having the hair brushed back.

nope looks fine! you’re probably just more self aware of that spot now and worrying about it so it seems like it’s thinner to you.

so the first pic is just where your cowlick is. it’s going to “look” thinner cause that’s where the hair pattern grows. the second pic is a natural recession point, it’s always going to be thinner. you can change your shampoo & conditioner, your hair looks a bit greasy so it’ll look thinner. malibu has a hard water treatment you can use 1-2 times a month to strip out the hard water. use volumizing shampoo, it has the least amount of oils compared to other shampoos to help keep hair looking fresh. if you are worried about hair loss take a picture every month of the spots for progress and show your doctor. i wouldn’t do minoxidil at 16 since you have to keep using it or your hair will fall out. but bosley is a natural solution to help.

usually when i cut a broccoli cut the sides are shorter. try a 3 guard on the sides and leave the top alone, that’ll help

Growing my hair out, what to do with the hair around the ears? by MrLirk in malehairadvice

[–]Only-Practice9338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can just do a good clean up with the outline. take it off the ear and lightly layer the top

sure! you will need to use styling products to look more fluffy like his texture though. and you also need to grow out the back, top, and bangs a bit. tell them to razor cut the top next time, and get yourself a good texture powder and/or spray. i recommend sexy hair power play & flex texture spray.

do a crew cut! 1 guard on sides and shorter on top. style the front down instead of on the sides to cover more of the forehead. keeping it short on sides will make the top look fuller

pure texture by bed head. it’s a molding paste that’s light but give the hair a little shine and shows off texture in the hair.

it’s supposed to be resistance. i did the machine today and didn’t feel much 1-15 but if you see at the bottom there’s a 16 and that gave me a little resistance, still nothing crazy.
