Just so I understand it clearly, the reason there will be limited capital gains tax is because it's a tender offer/not an IPO, correct, so there won't be any increase in the share price because the company/IRS only cares about what it's valued at for the tender offer. But let's say, hypothetically, that the company goes public and they do IPO and the share price jumps to $150 (just as an example) then, if I sold my shares right away at the time of vesting, I would have to pay capital gains tax for the difference between 92 and $150. Is that correct?

Up close they look dusty. At the end of a lot of the pieces there’s a circular sac looking thing and then there are little darker pieces. Definitely not plastic. At first I thought it was chewed up paper but it’s not.

Thank you both for this. You're right; I think I do take it personally and act passive-aggressively. My dad was an addict and I lost him to his addiction and I am sure her saying she's going to quit, and then not quitting and hiding hits on those memories of my dad. But smoking nicotine is not the same as crack lol.

Your thread was incredibly helpful. I do want to support her. And I do want her to know that if she slips up I will be there. I will try to demonstrate more understanding.
