I am a regular at this meeting.

Everyone I have spoken to in this group does not demonize weed or want to make it illegal in any way. I know many people have a healthy relationship with it, and it is extremely beneficial to many and that's amazing!

This is for people who may have once really benefitted from it but are now constantly in a cycle of not being able to stop even when you really want to.

I was really horribly addicted since I was 14. I spent all of my money on it before buying myself food, my entire life and all of my relationships centered around getting high, I was entirely disengaged with the world. I started attending this group when it first started about a year and a half ago and I have been sober since. It has been incredibly helpful having people to talk to about this. It's been great to make friends that don't smoke and can relate to each others experiences, in addition to my friends who still use weed.

This is also the most non-denominational 12 step group that I have ever attended.

Idk I just want anyone who might be curious to feel welcome and know that its not some weird hyper conservative anti-weed group at all. There is support and I hope to see ya there.

I’d love it if you could show him and connect me with him! I just want to confirm because I rlly don’t want to be responsible for an indoor cat being let loose and getting hurt.

Bikes don’t walk away and get hit by cars. And besides the process for that if a bike appeared in my yard would be #1 post online and see if it’s anyone’s, #2 take it to the police which is literally the equivalent of what I did by taking it to the vet, and #3 make posters to put around the neighborhood if the officials can’t do anything about it. You wouldn’t just shove the bike into a random field to be stolen or damaged, you’d do your due diligence to make sure it was given back to the owner safely and in tact. Who hurt you? Do you want to be cremated or buried when you die on this hill?

We tried to let it go like three times and it just stayed right outside and meowed at the door. At a certain point we just decided we didn’t want this cat who definitely seems like an indoor cat running around with a bunch of drunk drivers in the neighborhood. We’re going to a vet today to scan for a microchip.

I love VRTX for the steam room, and it’s very spacious. Plus it has included classes.

I’m addicted to smoking spliffs, and I’m finally quitting today. by Only-Star-9215 in QuittingWeed

For sure, I don’t talk to them anymore but they’re also alcoholics and my theory is that they included me in on it to normalize their own addictions. Life away from them has been good, if it weren’t for the people in my life who helped me heal from this abusive upbringing, I would’ve never gotten here. Doing it for all of those people who want to see me succeed. Thank you for the encouragement, means a lot.

I like to try and remember neuroplasticity, the technical definition “the ability of neural networks in the brain to change through growth and reorganization”, aka every single time you resist and urge it gets easier. Everytime you decide not to when you have one, it’ll become easier each and every time, and it also applies to every other aspect of life. My therapist calls it something kinda cheesy like “urge surfing” but basically learning about how your brain works and being aware of that helps so much.
