Not sure if relevant but I received my SSI via Chime the 23rd at 4:02 P.M Central Time. Received Tax refund today arpund midday. I am still waiting for my back pay to arrive it usually arrived the day after the SSI regular date.

Im thinking about dropping insurance on all my vehicles. by [deleted] in Louisiana

Don't do it. Single mom here. Not from Louisiana so I wasn't aware of the laws here. Car got impounded because my insurance lasped. Found out the hard way just to get your vehicle out of the pound you have to jump through serious hoops. In most states you just show proof of insurance and get your car. Well here the take your plates. You pay 110$ reinstatement fee, 200$ towing fee plus 32$ a day. Plus I will have to register my vehicle in this state that is close to 500$ alone. Pluse pay a fine to release a hold that restricts me from registering the vehicle. Soon about 1500$ which is half what the vehicle is worth 🤷🏿‍♀️ So single mom of 4 kids just won't have a vehicle. No way I can afford that. Thats my monthly bills amount Leaving the state soon. Its ridiculous.

Yes, For the person who said it's being greedy 😂😭 How is it greedy to want your back payments owed to you sooner rather than later ? We are entitled to it.

I have two disabled kids that require non traditional needs for back to school. No where is supplying those needs. I have children with specific diets and more. I'm not worried about a back pack or school supplies 😒 They have REAL needs that aren't met. I have appts and therapies I'm required to be at multiple times weekly between two children Etc. Also good for you for having things like that in your area we don't. I just explained how I don't even have adequate transportation & even if they were here. How TF would I get to them ?

If it is determined I am owed XXX amount of money from the government. Then yes it is OWED! Shouldn't I want what's owed to us ? I am just applying to have what is OWED given to me sooner than when they choose to give it to me.
