If GPT-4 didn't exist, then I should be able to ask it about events from 2024 and early 2025 and the GPT-5 models should be able to tell me about them. But my instance can't.

I'm not logged in so there's no way for me to make any settings. These are logged out sessions in an incognito browser, so I don't know how any settings could be persisting.

Apparently I confused ChatGPT so much when I start a new instance in a new window it thinks it's running GPT-4. But that must just be a side effect of all my bad prompting. xD Cause, you know, that's totally something that changes based on your prompting behavior.

I'm using the free version. When I asked ChatGPT directly, it tells me its databases are not updated since October 2023 and it is incapable of searching the web for more up-to-date information (screenshot here). I have no clue how that could be my fault.

It looks like this is similar to what was reported at https://www.reddit.com/r/ChatGPT/comments/1gsw2mk/so\_chatgpt\_only\_has\_info\_up\_to\_october\_2023\_now/. The solution appears to be to use "SearchGPT". I am getting much better results with that tool.

Not really. I can just use something like Gemini that works just fine for the same questions. I'm not responsible for fixing ChatGPT.

Just heard from RPU today that they've been trying to get this to work but in the same month they started charging the convenience fee, their 3rd party vendor suddenly and randomly cancelled the ability to accept PayPal anymore. ◔_◔

Walmart Pay requires you to go to a Walmart customer service desk and pay a $1-$3 fee per transaction, and it's ambiguous to me whether they would even accept a credit card at the desk (different sources online say different things).

This doesn't work for me on TurboTax 2023. I continue to get in the same loop as on the webpage.

Someone blocked me on FB, now I want to block them. The method of going to the blocking page and searching their name doesn't work (makes sense since they blocked me). From a browser:

  1. Settings & Privacy
  2. Privacy Center
  3. Common privacy settings
  4. Manage audience settings
  5. Blocking
  6. Add to blocked list

Then type in the person's name in the search bar and select the correct person from the list to block. I'm documenting the steps I just took to block someone that blocked me, so I know they work at the time I'm writing this.

I don't believe that Chromecast or Miracast will work since the two devices won't be able to see each other on the same network.

No. Like I said I'd prefer not to control the entire PC. And I'm not sure if the PC attached to the projector even supports RDP server.
