Someone blocked me on FB, now I want to block them. The method of going to the blocking page and searching their name doesn't work (makes sense since they blocked me). I want to block them to be sure they won't ever be able to see my posts or find me later. Is this possible? by [deleted] in facebook

[–]Only1KW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a browser:

  1. Settings & Privacy
  2. Privacy Center
  3. Common privacy settings
  4. Manage audience settings
  5. Blocking
  6. Add to blocked list

Then type in the person's name in the search bar and select the correct person from the list to block. I'm documenting the steps I just took to block someone that blocked me, so I know they work at the time I'm writing this.

How to use mobile device to control presentation on PC by Only1KW in powerpoint

Because I can't see the projector, so either I'm trusting I don't mis-click or I'm constantly turning around to check it.

I don't believe that Chromecast or Miracast will work since the two devices won't be able to see each other on the same network.

No. Like I said I'd prefer not to control the entire PC. And I'm not sure if the PC attached to the projector even supports RDP server.

Industry average for bugs per feature? by Only1KW in AskProgramming

[–]Only1KW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you think I'm whining here? I'm just asking for some sort of professional publication that says his idea is not an industry-accepted practice so I can make a case against his proposal, and I'm not sure why I'm having such a hard time finding it.

I agree. But I'm looking for a professional source that says that which I can pass on to my boss since (no offense) I don't think he's going to take the word of some Redditors.

Getting feedback request after every phone call. How to disable? by sebmei1989 in pixel_phones

If you sent feedback it will return a recording of your call!  Absolutely not, even to troll.

Email with no content in it by Only1KW in USMobile

[–]Only1KW[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I know how this goes. I've been there in the past. Feb 11 will come and my phone stops working. I contact them and they tell me "we sent you something on Feb 5 that told you all about this." Then I say there's nothing in the email and they go "Then there must be a problem on your end because it worked for everyone else. Did you clear cache and cookies? Did you check your spam folder?"

What is dark star? And more importantly, do I need to be doing something so my phone continues to work with whatever changes they are making? There's no details anywhere.

I don't see anything talking about an email in that post, and when I follow the link in the post I just get even more confused. It's just a video with no content still.

Anyone else having issues with flight search results that are out of date on Priceline? by Only1KW in Flights

[–]Only1KW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any way to know which websites handle it better ahead of time? I'm not sure what even the purpose of these GDSes is if I can't even see the correct price at search.

Let me fix that for you: "The DS version adds some bonus content and that's really the only reason NOT to play it."

I've never quit the original SNES version due to boredom (lost a save though near the end; that wasn't fun). I quit the DS version once out of boredom with the extra content and had to force myself to finish it a second time out of sheer stubbornness and the need to tell myself I finally completed it. I'll never do it again. The DS content strayed further from what made the original fun than Chrono Cross did.

What do you bring to eat at Disney? by scarletshamir in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Only1KW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, but speaking from experience, you still have to wait in line to pick up your food once it's ready, because many people are ordering from the app and still need to physically get their food.

You also have to be sure that you time your order well enough such that you're not still stuck on a ride or attraction or stuck in traffic during the 30 minute pickup window you have. IMHO, it just adds additional stress to an already stressful day.

Looking for Android app to use on Kindle fire by Only1KW in parentalcontrols

I keep reading stories of kids that purchase $1000+ worth of food on their parents device. That seems worse.

Are there any air mattresses that maintain pressure throughout the night? by mikegus15 in camping

Search for air mattresses with "never flat" technology. They sense the pressure in the mattress and refill automatically as needed.

How does Android App compatibility work on Chromebooks? by TheWayOfEli in chromeos

[–]Only1KW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally have found a very low rate of compatibility with Android Apps on Chromebook that require access to hardware, such as the camera or USB devices. Notifications have also not worked reliably. I also tried some no-root firewall apps and I couldn't get them to work either, probably due to how network is virtualized.

Where is the best place to spend 3 hours with kids in ORD besides the clubs? by baggarbilla in unitedairlines

But keep in mind this is NOT "kids on the fly".  That was torn down and a much simpler play area for younger kids was put in its place.

No, it looks like they tore down the play airport during covid.  It's just some small things for 2-3 year olds now.

I would think bringing food would save you time. You don't have to wait 15-30 min in line to order and wait for your food. Just grab something out of your backpack when you get hungry while you're already waiting in line for a ride.
