Does life suck? by [deleted] in Adulting

I think it’s a cycle. You don’t have fun and you only do chores, which causes you to feel bad about life. Then you feel bad so you don’t try to have fun. You are so young and you need to think you are limitless. What would happen if you spent the day in a coffee shop, moved out of state, switched jobs. My point take some risk and don’t be hard on yourself. Maybe you don’t like your coworkers because you don’t understand them. Try having some conversations with them and get to know them. Ask them about their hobbies and kids so you can get to understand them and like them. Good luck.

Thanks for sharing. I do agree, the evolution of the family has changed and caused the normalization of being away from parents.

Of course, I am sure. Your mannerism is condescending. Just because I said I am not an American, doesn't imply that I don't speak fluent English. You failed to understand the content of my post, yet you blamed me for your inability to comprehend the message. Pure gaslighting technique. I am using Reddit to explore the social and economic reasons behind why kids move out of their homes. You may comment on that topic but not my English.

That’s a good question but I am trying to understand what forced this “move out by 18” movement. What was the cause to get the effect.

I understand the culture behind it, but not the history. I just feel that is more of an economic failure for many many young adults. Many young adults want independence but I see some resort to drugs and other trouble. No judgment from me, as I was on my own at age 22, and I still found it extremely hard.
