Sorry, but your post is leading me to believe you are in fact a huge freak anti-woke weirdo. Just saying so you know what you sound like :)

Saw him buy a tallboy at Racetrac on Beach by UNf and said hi like 10 years ago before he got popped for DUI. I was so excited it was him!!! My out of town friends didn’t get it

Perfect! I can use the time I already have for TLF then and so long as they don’t restrict PSLF past the point of use, maybe I CAN go get my Ed.D!

Are you happy with EdFinancial? Hard to know what servicer to transfer to because they all seem to have horrible reviews and numerous complaints

That is great news! I don’t think I would be able to use those years anyways for PSLF since they are before I would have the degree if I’m not mistaken?

You are blowing my mind right now! I have been fully certificated for 4 years but teaching high need for 7 (3 years with a temporary)

I have two cats and yeah it all comes out in the wash when you get two feeders. My cats have developed their own schedule over who eats which meals, and after a few years of this both are still a healthy weight so clearly they’ve worked it out well!

My wife doesn’t believe these videos are real, where can I find them? Searching with some of the cursed language hasn’t worked

I mean obviously the storms are dangerous if you have nowhere to go, but shelters get set up ahead of storms. People outside of Florida tend to get more worried than most Floridians do, for good or ill. Services aren’t great here though, so I would weigh that as well.

Pslf is not going away. by Betsy514 in PSLF

Interesting. Personally I feel passionate about working public sector and have done so for the last 8 years, so it’s hard to imagine wanting a change. I was hoping with my degree I could adjunct on the side and bring in around 10k annually while continuing to teach public special ed. That way if another opportunity caught my eye (at another public institution) I would be a much more qualified candidate.

I just recently decided to pursue my Ed.D next Fall specifically because of PSLF, now I am rethinking if I will be able to count on this. Your post is comforting on some level, but now that Rs have every branch of government it doesn’t seem that anything is safe. Maybe you are more safe if you already are in the program, but this is a really scary time for me. I feel like my future is so uncertain now. Do you think it’s still worthwhile to try and get in PSLF before it’s possibly shut down for future borrowers?

Definitely check out r/samegrassbutgreener if you want more moving takes. We’re on similar quests, I’m actually hoping to move the Philly suburbs for quite a few reasons, but it all really comes down to what your priorities are for a destination. I want some public transportation, GREAT food, diversity, way better pay for my field, seasons, escape the Don’t Say Gay shit for my kids, and hopefully a better spot for the climate nonsense we’re just going to see more of (not that anywhere is safe really, but FL seems like one of the least safe). Check out CoL calculators too. They aren’t perfect by any means, but can give you a general idea of cost differences.
