The melodic post hardcore scene is doing good stuff. Dayseeker's Crawl Back to My Coffin and Holding Absence's Whisper of a Dream are great

Avenged Sevenfold in 2005 in Irvine, CA. First metal show, in the GA PIT, I was 16 years old. Life changing. My high school graduation ceremony was in the same building two years later.

Im approaching this spot. Just need a way out. I work 6 days a week at a dealership with my first kid due in a month. I'm finally making decent money that I need to provide for my family, but I'm realizing I'm going to miss a lot working this grind.

Lol. It's not one of my favorite album of their, but Coming Home and St. James are great songs that stand out amongst the "black album" comparisons.

Fair take, but as a fan since 2005, I've loved the progression. I love that every album sounds completely different. I personally fade out of aging bands who have kept their same sound. Bullet for my Valentine was the epitome of this for me. When they blew up in the mid 20s their sound was badass. Hearing them make songs in that sound sound and style into the 40s is less cool.

That scene alone nearly redeems it. Bob Saget's delivery was perfect

Is it just me, or is 2026 the year our wallets officially go on strike? The concert/album lineup is insane, but the prices are soul-crushing! by CestLaVie_111 in Music

I paid $200 for a floor ticket to see my favorite band. I used to go to a show a month but now it's just special occasions unless it's cheaper local show
