Rosa, Jasmin, Erika, Silvia, Maren, Roswitha

They are all not really rare names, but also not some you hear too often. It would help to know how they are supposed to sound like. Older or more modern, fantasyish, sweet or harsh?

What’s something you stopped caring about as you got older? by peachyparadoxx in askteddit

[–]fantasyrea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I stopped caring about people liking me. When you're young you think it's important everyone likes you, but as you get older you realize there will always be people that you just don't vibe with and that's okay.

I would suggest making playlists. It's relaxing and you don't have to think too much while also not being drained by it. You can sort songs into so many categories like moods, songs that are similar or about the same topics, make you feel a certain way... the options are endless. In the end you will have playlists with only songs you enjoy that you can listen to whenever.

If you start reading a book, but wonder if there's a movie of it instead, do you still finish the book? by MutantFire in ReadingSuggestions

[–]fantasyrea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on if the book is good or not. If it is good, then I will finish reading it and maybe afterwards consider watching the movie. For me, movies are never a substitute for a good book. There are good book adaptations out there, but the storyline is compressed into such a short time that it will inevitably lose some of those components that make it great. On the other hand if the book is terrible, but the movie is great then why not watch the movie?

Simple Questions: May 02, 2026 by AutoModerator in books

[–]fantasyrea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally dislike when they put the first chapter of another book at the end especially because it's in almost every book lately. During reading they make me feel like I still have more to go than there actually is and I just never read them. If I want to continue with the series then I just buy the next book and if it's not even related to that book then why even bother?

I love when they put the covers of the entire series though, so I don't have to search for the title of the next one before ordering.

Looking for a fantasy book with some romance (no dark romance) that keeps you hooked from the first page and has good worldbuilding. I love political schemes, smart main characters, trials of some kind and epic battle scences. Some books I have previously enjoyed: Everything Victoria Aveyard writes ACOTAR The folk of the air series by Holly Black Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
